    Abstract: A sodium-sulfur battery is provided. According to the present invention, the sodium-sulfur battery includes a cartridge tube which supports sodium and has a sodium discharge hole on the lower part for discharging molten sodium; a solid electrolyte tube which accommodates the cartridge tube and transmits sodium ions; an anode container which accommodates the solid electrolyte tube and sulfur; an insulating member which insulates a space between the solid electrolyte tube and the anode container; a cathode cover which is installed to seal the top of the cartridge tube; and a safety tube which is installed between the solid electrolyte tube and the cartridge tube and is selectively in contact with the inner surface of the solid electrolyte tube. The safety tube has surface roughness less than or equal to 100 μm to spread the sodium passing through between the solid electrolyte tube and the cartridge tube while being in contact with the safety tube.
