Abstract:
PURPOSE: A branched polycarbonate-polysiloxane copolymer is provided to have a high shearing pressure while having excellent low temperature impact strength, high flexibility, excellent mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. CONSTITUTION: A branched polycarbonate-polysiloxane copolymer is obtained using an aromatic dihydroxy compound, a carbonate precursor, a siloxane compound, and a branching agent. The siloxane compound is a compound represented by chemical formula 2, chemical formula 3, or a combination thereof. In chemical formula 2, each of R1-R8 is a substituted or unsubstituted C1-C10 alkyl group or a substituted or unsubstituted C6-C18 aryl group; and each of A and B is a substituted or unsubstituted C1-C10 alkylene group, a substituted or unsubstituted C6-C18 arylene group, a C1-C10 alkylene group containing oxygen or sulfur, or a C6-C18 arylene group containing oxygen or sulfur.

PURPOSE: A polycarbonate resin is provided to improve thermal stability and color stability at high temperature as well as ensuring excellent hydrolysis resistance and to enable the application to molding products with much moisture contact. CONSTITUTION: A polycarbonate resin in which the concentration of a terminal hydroxyl group is 0.01-15 % is prepared by polymerizing a monomer mixture including an aromatic dihydroxy compound and diarylcarbonate. The monomer mixture does not include an end terminator or includes 0-0.001 weight% of the end terminator. The diarylcarbonate is included in the range of 1.18-1.32 mole per 1 mole of the aromatic dihydroxy compound.
