Abstract: PURPOSE: A battery assembly is provided to obtain shock-absorbing, sound-absorbing, heat-radiating, and electromagnetic waves-shielding effects by barriers formed of a foam metal. CONSTITUTION: A battery assembly comprises a case (12) having an internal space (12'); a plurality of battery pack assemblies (30) which are arranged in the case and spaced at a constant interval; barriers (38) which are formed inside the case and formed of a foam metal, to fill the gap between the battery pack assemblies; and a mounting space (40) for mounting the battery pack assemblies inside the case. A barriers-accommodating space (42) is additionally formed in the case.
