    Abstract: PURPOSE: A prism inducing a polarizing angle and apparatus for detection are provided to detect fluorescent light by using an evanescent wave of the prism inducing a polarizing angle. CONSTITUTION: A linear polarization light enters a prism(30). An evanescent wave is generated through total internal reflection. The evanescent wave has a polarization angle and is passed. The evanescent wave is re-reflected to inside. The prism does not have a component transmitting a sample surface(43). The prism forms an incident surface(31a) a transmission side(31b). The entrance surface and the transmission side are vertical to the transmission side.
