PURPOSE: A photographing apparatus in association with an omni-directional camera and a PTZ camera, a photographing method and a recording medium thereof are provided to replace deterioration of image quality with an image photographed in a PTZ camera, thereby obtaining a clear image. CONSTITUTION: An omni-directional camera(100) photographs an omni-directional area. A PTZ camera(200) is installed in a location near the omni-directional camera. A controller(300) controls the PTZ camera to be associated with a designated area of a photographed area. A convex mirror(110) of the omni-directional camera projects an image of omni-direction.

A quadratic curved surface mirror structure including a camera in a multi-area monitoring system and a method of manufacturing the quadratic curved surface mirror structure are provided to obtain long-distance images to definitely confirm objects on a road to thereby grasp traffic conditions more efficiently. A multi-area monitoring system includes a quadratic curved surface mirror structure(5). The quadratic curved surface mirror structure, mounted on a camera unit(2), collects long-distance images of a road, which are captured by the camera unit. An internal curved surface mirror of the quadratic curved surface mirror structure is partially removed and re-combined to collect long-distance images rather than short-distance images. The quadratic curved surface mirror structure includes a camera(7).

PURPOSE: A weather detecting apparatus by the image information analysis and weather sensing method using the same are provided to create road traffic environment which can deal effectively with a locally torrential rain or a heavy snow etc. by sensing weather conditions based on an analysis of video information recorded with a camera unit. CONSTITUTION: A camera unit(100) takes a photograph of an image from a road. A weather sensing means(200) senses a weather based on the recorded image. A weather generator(300) indicates a road section weather according to the sensing result. A weather condition learner(400) receives the image from the camera unit, stores a state of the actual road section weather, and offers the weather condition critical value to the weather sensing means.

A multi-area monitoring system of a CCTV having a camera quadratic curved surface mirror structure and a method for correcting a distortion image thereof are provided to maximize image recovery force of the system and obtain high quality of the image by selecting an unwrapping region, cropping the curved area of an region of interest, and unwrapping the curved area. A multi-area monitoring system of a CCTV having a camera quadratic curved surface mirror structure comprises a camera device part(2), an image signal processor(3), and a computer device part(5). The camera device part photographs remote distance images of all directions through a camera unit(1). The image signal processor converts the remote distance image signal into an image data. The computer device part selects an unwrapping region of the image data, makes the unwrapping region into an ROI(Region Of Interest), crops/unwraps necessary curved areas of the ROI, converts the curved areas into plane images, displays the plane images on a monitor(4), and recovers the plane images into an original image through an image calibration process.

PURPOSE: A detection area set-up system of a CCTV(Closed Circuit Television) is provided to enhance the accuracy of traffic information by automatically collecting traffic information using the panning, tilting, and zooming functions of a CCTV. CONSTITUTION: A detection area set-up system(100) of a CCTV comprises a CCTV camera(110), a video input unit(120), an element value calculating unit(130), a communication unit(140), a coordinate converting unit(150), a correcting unit(160), and a preset unit(170). The CCTV camera is installed on a road to photograph the road. The video input unit compresses the images inputted via the CCTV and transfers the compressed image to a traffic center. The element value calculating unit consists of an A/D(Analog to Digital) converter, a CPU(Central Processing Unit), a pan/tilt driver, a zoom driver, a communication driver, and a power driver. The element value calculating unit calculates the panning value, tilting value, and zooming value of the CCTV camera when panning, tilting, and zooming are performed. The communication unit transfers the element values and images to the traffic center by multiplexing a video link and a data link. The coordinate converting unit calculates a coordinate conversion on a three-dimensional space by a coordinate converting algorithm. The correcting unit installed in the traffic center automatically sets up a detection area by considering a mechanical error and corrects the detection area. Therefore, accurate traffic condition is obtained.
