Abstract: 본 발명은 무선 단말기 및 그의 발향 제어 방법에 관한 것으로, 발향 장치와 무선 신호를 송수신하는 무선 통신부, 발향 장치의 구동 제어를 위한 제어 변수값을 입력받는 사용자 인터페이스부, 및 무선 통신부를 통해 송수신 되는 무선 신호를 이용하여 발향 장치와 무선 단말기 사이의 거리를 예측하고, 예측된 거리에 의거하여 입력된 제어 변수값을 조정해서 발향 제어신호를 출력하도록 하는 제어부를 포함한다. 본 발명에 따르면, 발향 장치와 무선 단말기 사이의 거리에 따라 발향 장치의 발향 시점, 발향 강도, 및 발향 지속시간 등의 제어 변수값을 조정함으로써, 사용자의 위치에 따라 보다 향상된 발향 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 이점이 있다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A portable terminal and a method for controlling peripheral devices thereof are provided to supply a customized service to a user by controlling peripheral devices based on the location information of the devices. CONSTITUTION: A searching unit(120) extracts the device information for the peripheral devices by searching plural peripheral devices, and a position measurement unit(130) measures the position of the searched peripheral devices. A selection unit(140) selects the peripheral devices which are supposed to be controlled according to the position information of the peripheral devices. A control unit(150) sets up a control variable value according to the position information of each peripheral device. When controlling the operation of one peripheral device, the control unit transmits to the corresponding peripheral device the control signal including the control variable value set in the peripheral device.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A wireless terminal and a fragrance control method thereof are provided to control the control variable values of a fragrance device, thereby providing a more improved fragrance service according to the position of a user. CONSTITUTION: A wireless communications unit(110) transmits and receives a wireless signal with a fragrance device. A UI(User Interface) unit(140) receives control variable values for controlling the drive of the fragrance device. A controller(120) predicts a distance between a wireless terminal and the fragrance device by using the wireless signal. Based on the predicted distance, the controller controls the control variable values to output a fragrance control signal. The control variable values comprises at lest one of a fragrance point of time, fragrance intensity and a fragrance duration.

Abstract: A method for recognizing the sex of a voice signal and an apparatus therefor are provided to recognize the sex by differently applying the weighted values which are produced by using the distinctive weight learning according to each degree of an MFCC feature vector, thereby improving the sex recognition performance. A voice signal is inputted(S501). From the inputted voice signal, an MFCC feature vector is extracted(S502). According to each degree of the extracted MFCC feature vector, distinctive weighted values are given(S503). The sex of the inputted signal is recognized by a decision formula to which the distinctive weighted values given according to each of the degrees are applied. Particularly, the sex is distinguished through a value, obtained by multiplying the weighted values with each degree of MFCC feature vector, and a kernel function.
