Abstract: A system and a method for providing a bi-directional multimedia service in a subscriber network are provided to allow a user of a subscriber network to receive various bi-directional multimedia services such as a Web service, a game, a messenger, a video call, and a virtual environment through a minimum level of subscriber terminal. A service server(100) generates multimedia information requested by a service available subscriber terminal among bi-directional multimedia service available information and service available information through a subscriber network to respective subscriber terminals(500-500-n) based on registration information of the subscriber terminals(500-500-n). A data processing server(200) receives user multimedia information transmitted from the subscriber terminal, provides it to the service server(100), and processes the multimedia information generated by the service server(100) into data suitable for the subscriber network. A channel management server(300) enables the multimedia information processed by the data processing server(200) to be received by a particular subscriber terminal, and manages a communication channel of the subscriber network in order to transmit the multimedia information transmitted from the particular subscriber terminal to the data processing server(200).

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for a telephone connection service are provided to achieve telephone connection between a transmitter-sided terminal and a receiver-sided terminal just only by clicking a remote control unit button. A set-top box(210) transmits information, which is inputted from a remote control unit(101) of a user, to a return server(220), and displays information, which is transmitted from the return server, through a display device(102). The return server controls a telephone connection request of the set-top box, and communicates with an external network to perform telephone connection between a transmitter-sided terminal(500) and a receiver-sided terminal. A user information database(230) includes subscriber information, which is required for the return server to authenticate the set-top box, and information, which is required to perform a telephone connection service.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A system and method for creating a three dimensional clustering are provided to link a word to a document horizontally and to classify a word and a document based on a directory by grafting the hierarchy terms concept in a clustering method based on the existing similarity. CONSTITUTION: A word extracting device(101) extracts actual contents of an HTML document using an HTML DTD(Document type definition), and extracts an actual word out of filtered contents using an HTML filter and a dictionary(104), and creates an index file(107) by embodying a weight value by words. A cluster creating device(102) extracts a word having a value more than the critical weight value out of words of the corresponding document, and creates a word group(cluster) based on the extracted each word, and compares the word group(cluster) with the existing word group(cluster dictionary:105) based on the corresponding word, and creates new word group(cluster dictionary:105) based on the corresponding word. A 3-D cluster processor(103) checks whether a query language of a user exists in a classification dictionary(106). If a query language of a user does not exist in a classification dictionary, a document value is outputted using a cluster corresponded to the query language and the index file(107) in the cluster dictionary(105). If a query language of a user exists in a classification dictionary, the upper and lower linking word in the classification dictionary(106), a query language and a cluster with respect to the upper and lower linking word in the cluster dictionary(105) based on the upper and lower linking word are searched, and a document value is outputted using the cluster dictionary(105).

Abstract: A personal DRM(Digital Rights Management)-applied personal multicasting service system and its providing method are provided to allow only an authenticated user to use a service to thus prevent improper contents from being broadcast or an unauthenticated user from illegally using a service. A personal broadcast transmitting unit(130) creates and stores contents, applies a personal DRM code to the created contents, and transmits the same to a personal broadcast receiving unit. The personal broadcast receiving unit(110) receives the transmitted contents, decodes the contents based on corresponding personal DRM certificates, and reproduces the same. After the personal broadcast transmitting unit allocates a channel for transmitting broadcast, a channel management server unit(140) manages the channel, and transmits information of a particular broadcast transmitting unit requested by the personal broadcast receiving unit. An authentication server unit(120) verifies the validity of the personal broadcast transmitting unit and the personal broadcast receiving unit, and issues/manages the personal DRM certificates.

Abstract: A method for supporting time-shifting for each channel in a multi-channel screen and a multi-channel broadcasting receiver using the method are provided to perform time-shifting for each of a plurality of channels while simultaneously outputting broadcasting signals of the plurality of channels.
