Abstract: 본 발명은 IPTV 단말의 원격 제어 방법 및 그 시스템에 관한 것으로, 원격으로 전송되는 제어 메시지를 처리하는 제어모듈을 구비하여, 상기 제어모듈을 통해 상기 제어 메시지에 따른 상태 및 서비스를 변경하는 다수의 IPTV 단말; 상기 제어 메시지를 발생하여 상기 IPTV 단말의 상태 및 서비스를 원격으로 제어하는 제어서버; 상기 각 IPTV 단말정보를 저장하는 데이터베이스를 포함하여 구성되며, 이에 의하여 IPTV 단말의 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어의 구성을 변경하지 않고도 단말의 제어모듈 탑재 및 제어서버의 이용만으로 IPTV 단말을 원격 제어함으로, IPTV 단말의 상태 및 서비스에 대한 원격 제어가 용이하도록 하는 효과를 가진다.

Abstract: An integrated IP-based customized broadcasting service system and a method thereof are provided to enable a user to enjoy various services by expanding contents which the user can use when forming a channel to the VoD and UCC/PCC. An integrated IP-based customized broadcasting service system comprises a subscriber programming table providing server unit(120) and a broadcasting server unit(130). The subscriber programming table providing server unit generates a subscriber programming table corresponding to the time when a user desires to receive a broadcasting program or IP-based contents. The broadcasting server unit transmits the corresponding broadcasting program in case of providing the broadcasting program according to the subscriber programming table, and converts/provides the IP-based contents into contents which the user can view in case of providing the IP-based contents.

Abstract: A broadcast program providing system and method for supporting the dynamic transmission of a program time table and broadcast programs are provided to enable a broadcast service provider to reflect the program time table of plural broadcast program providers or the broadcast service provider and the real-time reconstitution of the broadcast programs dynamically to transmit the broadcast programs. A broadcasting hour scheduling unit(210) comprises a program time table receiving unit(211), a program time table input unit(212), a program time table generating unit(213), a program time table transmitting unit(214), and a program time table publishing unit(215). A broadcast program control unit(220) comprises a program receiving unit(221), a program input unit(222), a broadcast program generating unit(223), and a program transmitting unit(224), and a broadcast program transmitting unit(225). The program time table transmitting unit transmits a part of the program time table to a program time table receiving unit. The program transmitting unit transmits broadcast programs to the program receiving unit. The program time table receiving unit performs access control by giving permission to the transmission of the program time table on the basis of a previously reserved time section of a broadcast program provider. When the program receiving unit receives the broadcast programs from plural broadcast program providers, the program receiving unit performs access control by giving permission to the transmission of the broadcast programs by using broadcast program ID(Identification), the start and close time of the broadcast programs, the IP(Internet Protocol) address, TCP(Transmission Control Protocol) or UDP(User Datagram Protocol) port number of the broadcast program provider in the program time table generated by the program time table generating unit.

Abstract: A method for searching a digital multimedia service by using a dashboard and a set top box having the same are provided to enable a user to grasp a current service search location and an entire structure by displaying an entire service layer structure on one screen when searching a service, thereby quickly searching a desired service. If a user inputs a menu selection request, a user interface is provided(S110,S120). The user interface is formed in a dashboard type where plural layers are displayed within one screen. The plural layers are produced by sequentially dividing all suppliable multimedia services from an upper concept to a lower concept. One layer of the plural layers is selected by a user(S130). If a top layer is selected, detail items produced by classifying the top concept of the multimedia service are provided, and one of the detail items is selected(S150). If one layer is selected among the rest layers except the top layer and the lowest layer, a detail item belonging to a lower rank of a detail item selected from an upper layer of the selected layer is provided. One of the detail items is selected(S170). If the lowest layer is selected, information about a multimedia service designated by the layers is displayed(S180).

Abstract: A method for offering contents information in a VOD(Video Online Demand) service and a VOD service system for performing the method are provided to display a contents list and contents information through representative moving pictures and story boards, thereby supplying information related to user-selected contents visually and acoustically. A transmitting and receiving unit(120) receives a VOD service request from a VOD client through a network, and transmits data corresponding to the request to the VOD client. A contents storage unit(110) stores all of moving picture contents. A contents process unit(200) creates representative moving pictures for respective moving picture contents stored in the contents storage unit, and constitutes an initial screen obtained by combining the representative moving pictures. A controller(130) transmits the initial screen created by the contents process unit when the VOD client requests a contents list through the transmitting and receiving unit.
