    Abstract: PURPOSE: A device for controlling vergence of a stereo camera is provided to interwork vergence control according to zoom lens operations of the stereo camera, and to perform a more exact vergence control by parallax found through a signal processing, thereby enabling a more exact vergence control in the stereo camera. CONSTITUTION: A focus controller(140) operates lens operators(121) to equalize images photographed by at least two cameras, and performs a focus control. A camera driver(120) controls a distance between centers of the two cameras according to the distance between the central points of the two cameras, and performs a vergence control.     Abstract: PURPOSE: A vergence control system and method according to over sampling and variable addressing and a parallel-axis stereo camera are provided to process input video signals in real time with a simple hardware construction and reduce information loss. CONSTITUTION: A vergence control system(310) includes an analog/digital converter(311), a memory(312), a variable address generator(313), a vertical processor(314) and a vertical interpolator(315). The analog/digital converter performs horizontal over sampling of an image photographed by an external camera. The memory stores the over-sampled image.
