PURPOSE: A method for preparing an onion extract by pressure cooking is provided to cheaply produce a large amount of hypoglycemic compositions containing high content ingredients which reduce blood glucose. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a hypoglycemic composition which enhances the content of an ingredient which reduces blood glucose comprises the steps of: performing pressure cooking of onions; collecting the extracted onion liquid; filtering the onion liquid; and repeating the processes. PURPOSE: A wheat bran extract composition with antibacterial function is provided to be widely used in foods, drinks, cosmetic products, and cleaning agents. CONSTITUTION: A wheat bran extract composition with antibacterial function contains 0.01-100 wt% of wheat bran extract as an active ingredient. The wheat bran extract is isolated using chloroform, methylene chloride, ethyl acetate, or diethylene glycol monoethyl ether. The wheat bran extract is extracted by supercritical fluid extraction using carbon dioxide as a supercritical fluid. The composition is used as an antibacterial material for replacing antibiotics. CONSTITUTION: A composition for suppressing blood glucose contains a compound of chemical formula 1 or 2 and pharmaceutically acceptable salt as an active ingredient. A method for manufacturing the composition for suppressing blood glucose comprises: a step of preparing animal and vegetable materials containing arginine; a step of inoculating lactobacillus to a medium for fermentation and fermenting; a step of performing thermal treatment of the fermentation at 50-130°C for 1-72 hours; and a step of vacuum drying or freeze-drying. The lactobacillus is Lactobacillus plantarum.
