Abstract: A forming limit diagram testing device is provided to obtain an original forming limit diagram of a sample by minimizing a deformation degree and stress measuring difficulties by using the sample with regular width and by adapting various types of jigs to reproduce various deformation modes. A device for testing a forming limit diagram comprises a sample(20), an upper jig(11), and a friction preventing member(14). The sample has a united type of a regular circle which is allowed to be adapted in all deformation modes. The upper jig allows the all deformation modes by differentiating a pressurizing range when fixing the sample. The friction preventing member is inserted between an operation range of the sample and a punch(13). The type of the upper jig is set differently in first, second, third, and fourth modes. In the first mode, the type of the upper jig is a complete ring member with regular thickness, whose ratio between the long axis and the short axis, forming an inside of the upper jig is 5:5. In the second mode, the type of the upper jig is an oval ring member whose ratio between the long axis and the short axis is 5:4. In the third mode, the type of the upper jig is an oval ring member whose ratio between the long axis and the short axis is 5:3. In the fourth mode, the type of the upper jig is an oval ring member whose ratio between the long axis and the short axis is 5:2. The friction preventing member is made of silicon.

Abstract: A method of testing a limiting drawing ratio is provided to simultaneously measure wrinkle limitation of a press product and breakage limitation to reduce inferior goods. A method of testing a limiting drawing ratio is performed by using a cup drawing device. The method of testing the limiting drawing ratio includes the steps of fixing a plurality of specimen diameters and adjusting a blank holding force, measuring limitation of wrinkles generated when the blank holding force is weak, and simultaneously measuring breakage limitation generated when the blank holding force is strong. A point in which the wrinkle limitation and the breakage limitation meet each other is determined by the limiting drawing ratio. The blank holding force is calculated by dividing a maximum specimen diameter by a diameter of a punch.
