Abstract: PURPOSE: A cup holder for a vehicle is provided to reinforce the supporting force of a cup using a supporting member by supporting the outer circumference of a cup. CONSTITUTION: A cup holder for a vehicle comprises a holder housing(10), an air chamber(20), a cup support member(30), an air passage(40) and a cup support member(50). The holder housing comprises a cup accommodation space opened the upper side by the boundary surface sloping with the floor side. The air chamber is formed on the central part of the floor side of the holder housing which is projected to downward. The cup support member hermetically seals the connection pathway of the air chamber and a cup accommodation space with being connected in the floor side of the holder housing. The cup support member flexibly ascends and descends to vary a volume of the air chamber. One end of the air passage is connected to the air chamber and the other end is connected the operating groove formed in the boundary surface of the holder housing. The cup supporting member is installed in order to be projected through the operating groove of the holder housing to the cup accommodation space.
