    Abstract: PURPOSE: An insertion force reduction type connector is provided to reduce insertion force of a female connector by keeping a contact terminal of an insertion force reduction member being separated upward from a first terminal of a male connector by a spring, when the male connector and the female connector are assembled. CONSTITUTION: An insertion force reduction member(13) includes a number of contact terminals(14). The insertion force reduction member is movable up and down on one side of the top of a female connector housing. A spring reduces the insertion force with non-contact between the contact terminal and a first terminal(2), by separating the contact terminal upward from the first terminal of a male connector housing(1) when the spring is inserted into the male connector housing.
