    Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for controlling the slip-lock-up of an automatic transmission are provided to maximize the durability of a damper-clutch by controlling the slip-lock-up in real time based on the driving state of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: When a slip-controlling for a damper clutch is started, the variation of an engine revolution per minute(RPM) and a turbine RPM are extracted to calculate an interference amount between the engine RPM and the turbine RPM(S104). The calculated interference amount and a pre-set interference amount are compared to control an oil pressure for a damper clutch(S105). If the calculated interference amount is less than the pre-set interference amount, a controlling for a slip lock-up is maintained by the current oil-pressure(S106). If the calculated interference amount is more than the pre-set interference amount, the oil-pressure is reduced and the amount of a slip is increased(S107, S108).
