    Abstract: PURPOSE: An electronic clutch apparatus for an automobile is provided to selectively control the power transferred to an input shaft from the transmission of an engine and reduce weight and production costs by reducing components and simplifying structure to reduce vibration and noise. CONSTITUTION: An electronic clutch apparatus for an automobile comprises a clutch operating switch button(10), a clutch shaft(40), and a clutch electromagnet(50). The clutch shaft is installed to be directly reciprocated by a fly wheel(20) and a transmission input shaft(30) between the fly wheel of an engine and the transmission input shaft. The clutch shaft is driven to supply and release driving power to the fly wheel and the transmission input shaft. The clutch electromagnet is installed to cover the clutch shaft. The clutch electromagnet moves the clutch shaft to the fly wheel or the transmission input shaft by changing the direction of the current by manipulating the clutch operating switch button.
