Abstract: A disk brake for a vehicle is provided to allow a brake pad to be uniformly contacted with a brake disk during braking of a vehicle. A disk brake for a vehicle comprises a cylinder(2) installed at a side of a caliper housing and a piston(3) received in the cylinder. The piston is formed with an inclined surface(3a), which is inclined at an end of the piston in a central direction. The piston serves to push a brake pad(P) toward a brake disk(D) using hydraulic power. A pair of pad plates facing each other are provided at an opposite side of the piston. One pad plate is adjacent to the piston and the other pad plate is adjacent to the opposite side of a support. The pad plate adjacent to the piston includes a receiving groove(4c) having an inclined surface(4c') the same as that of the piston.
