Abstract: A piston head for a gasoline direct injection engine is provided to make the thick stratification of a mixer around a spark plug and to improve combustion performance by improving the shape of a piston head and heightening the performance for guiding the movement of fuel to make the fuel injected directly to a combustion chamber to be gathered to the vicinity of a spark plug. A piston head for a gasoline direct injection engine comprises a projection structure(30) and a bowl. Abstract: PURPOSE: A ladder frame type engine is provided to simplify an assembling process of a thrust bearing by removing the use of special jigs and to prevent an abrasive action which is caused by not preventing the rotation of circular ring integrated type. CONSTITUTION: A ladder frame type engine comprises a bottom cylinder block(4), a top cylinder block(3), and a flat plate type bearing unit. The bottom cylinder block is placed in the bottom of a ladder frame(1) and equipped with a crank shaft journal(5). A flat plate type bearing unit includes a bearing cap and a pair of semicircular ring separate type thrust bearings. The bearing cap is settled to cover a bearing seating unit(10) which is formed at the side of the crank shaft journal. The crankshaft journal is settled while surrounding the bearing mounting portion formed in the side of the bearing cap. A pair of semicircular ring separate type thrust bearing is fixed to the bearing cap and is settled in the side of the crank shaft journal covering the circumference of a crank shaft(6).
