    Abstract: PURPOSE: A method is provided to improve an air compressor endurance, and to prevent mechanical damage by controlling a cooling fan measuring an air conditioner coolant pressure. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling a cooling fan comprises a step of determining an air conditioner switch state and an air conditioner pressure sensor state by a user's operation of the air conditioner switch after ignition of an automobile engine(S120,S130). Then, if the air conditioner switch is turned on and the air conditioner pressure sensor is in a normal state, a control signal is outputted to control the cooling fan depending on a third map value set in a memory(S140,S150). The third map value is stored in the memory depending on the change of an air conditioner coolant pressure, an automobile speed, and an engine coolant temperature.
