    Abstract: PURPOSE: An auxiliary air supply apparatus for improving DPF(Diesel Particulate Filter) purification rate and a purifying method are provided to prevent the DPF from being clogged or damaged by blowing high pressure air. CONSTITUTION: A DPF system is composed of first and second pressure measuring sensors(10,20) installed in exhaust pipes to measure pressure in collecting material; an engine control unit(30) choosing first and second DPFs(3,4) through a filter selecting valve(2), and moving particulate material according to pressure; first and second solenoid valves(40,50) guiding flow of auxiliary air by opening and closing selectively; and first and second injection nozzles(60,70) installed in the middle of the exhaust pipe on the opposite side of exhaust gas flow direction to move particulate material by injecting auxiliary air to first and second DPFs. Clog or damage of the DPF system is prevented, and the purification rate is improved.

    Abstract: An air bag device for a vehicle and a control method thereof are provided to control inflation pressure and time of the air bag by receiving information about whether a driver wears on a seat belt, front/rear position of the seat and a distance between the driver and a steering wheel, and comparing the information with a set value. An air bag device for a vehicle comprises: a metal piece(100) provided at one side of an upper part of an outer tube(3) into which an inner tube(4) inserted with surrounding a steering shaft(2), a fixing unit(200) provided with a hall sensor(10) for fixing a steering column including the steering shaft, a seat position sensor(300), a seat belt sensor(400) and a controller(500). The hall sensor generates voltage according to change of magnetic field generated by approach of the metal piece when the outer and inner tubes move up along the steering shaft. The seat position sensor senses front/rear position of the seat. The seat belt sensor senses whether a driver wears on the seat belt. The controller receives signals sensed by the hall sensor, seat position sensor and seat belt sensor, and compares the input values with a designated set value, thereby controlling inflation pressure and time of the air bag.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A combustion chamber of a diesel engine for pre-mixture combustion is provided to restrict the generation of NOx by preventing the increase of the combustion temperature in the rich area of the air fuel ratio in the diffusion combustion and to reduce the generation of the exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION: In a combustion chamber, a convex part(23) is formed at a bottom of a cylinder head(20) and a concave part(41) at the upper part of a piston(40). When the piston is in a compression stroke, the concave and the convex parts are connected together so that the combustion chamber is divided into a main combustion chamber(31) and an auxiliary combustion chamber(32). When the piston is going up to the top dead center, combustion occurs in the main combustion chamber. When the piston is going down so that the main combustion chamber is communicated with the auxiliary combustion chamber, the combustion gas in the main combustion chamber is transmitted to the auxiliary combustion chamber so that self-ignition occurs in the whole combustion chamber.
