    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an environmental radiation monitor performing energy calibration based on energy spectrum in which erroneous energy calibration is prevented when the state of environmental radiation is abnormal. SOLUTION: An abnormality decision section 50 makes a decision whether the state of environmental radiation is normal or not based on an environmental dose data determined at a dose operating section 26 or the energy spectrum of environmental radiation formed on a spectral memory 30. When a decision is made that the state of environmental radiation is normal, a calibration control section 52 operates a spectrum utilization calibrating section 32. Consequently, the spectrum utilization calibrating section 32 performs an energy calibration processing based on an energy spectrum in the spectral memory 30. When a decision is made that the state of environmental radiation is abnormal, the calibration control section 52 operates a temperature utilization calibrating section 44. Consequently, the temperature utilization calibrating section 44 reads out a calibration coefficient corresponding to the temperature at a probe section 10 abtained by a temperature sensor 40 from a temperature calibration table 46 and performs energy calibration using the calibration coefficient.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation measuring apparatus in which an energy value can be calibrated simply without using a radiation source for calibration. SOLUTION: An environmental radiation is detected by a detection part 10, and the energy spectrum of the environmental radiation is found by a multichannel analyzer 22. A peak detection part 32 investigates a prescribed search range in the energy spectrum, and it detects the photoelectric peak of K which is distributed widely in an environment. In a reference-value storage part 34, the correct energy value of the photoelectric peak of the K is stored as a reference value. In a comparison processing part 33, the channel of the photoelectric peak detected by the peak detection part 32 is compared with the channel of the reference value stored in the reference-value storage part 34. On the basis of a compared result, a voltage or a gain instruction part 35 adjusts a voltage instruction value to a high-voltage power supply 14 or a gain instruction value to a main amplifier 18 in such a way that the channel of the photoelectric peak is brought close to the reference value.

A fixed-type data-receiving unit 30 receives measured data from the personal dosimeter 10 at a receiving part 32a and reads the bar code of the ID card 20 by a bar code reader 34, thereby obtaining the personal identification information.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To decide radioactivity contamination in a short time by making an advance to a next decision step when a set stepwise alarm level is exceeded and deciding that the contamination is below an alarm level when not. CONSTITUTION:A radiation monitor circuit is equipped with a detector 10 which measures the radioactivity of a body at respective parts and a timer 12 which outputs a signal at prescribed intervals of time. Further, a decision level setter 14 which sets the alarm level and stepwise alarm level for deciding the radioactivity contamination and a comparator 16 which compares the outputs of the detector 10 and setter 14 with each other are provided, and the output of the comparator 16 is supplied to a display device 18. This constitution divides a conventional measurement time into respective stages and a final alarm level is decided with stepwise alarm levels set in respective decision steps. Consequently, the decision is finished early from persons who are less contaminated, and the radioactivity contamination is measured speedily.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To form a device maintaining always a normal operation state by correcting zero adjustment and sensitivity by using switching automatically at predetermined times, a reference ray source control device and comparators. CONSTITUTION:The electric charge gathered at the current collecting electrode 12 of an ionization chamber 10 according to radiation dose is converted to voltage by an electrometer 14, and the voltage is digitized by an A/D converter 16. The digital signal is recorded and displayed with a display device 20, a printer 22 and an integrator 24 via a zero point adjusting circuit 100 and a sensitivity correctinng circuit 200. Zero point adjustment and sensitivity correction are carried out by driving flip- flops 44, 68 by the signal of a timer 42 and changing over switches. Select switches 30, 40 are turned on to input the zero adjustment output to a register 32, by which zero point is adjusted. A sensitivity correction value is outputted by the value of a register 58 obtained by irradiation with a reference ray source 46 and the reference value of a register 60 by opening a shutter 50. Zero point as well as the upper and lower limit values of sensitivity are applied to comparators 78, 80, and an alarm is emitted when out of these values. Thereby, the normal operation is continued.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To discriminate a waveform of an output of a radiation detector consisting of a ZnS(Ag) scintillator and a plastic scintillator, and identify alpha-rays and beta- rays by means of a crest value. CONSTITUTION:A radiation detector 10 consists of a ZnS(Ag) scintillator for detecting alpha-rays and a plastic scintillator for detecting beta-rays. The output of the detector 10 is inputted to first and second differentiation circuits 14 and 16 through an amplifier 12. The differentiation circuit 14 has a time constant which is longer than that of the differentiation circuit 16. The output of the differentiation circuit 14 is inputted, as it is, to a crest comparison circuit 18, and the output of the differentiation circuit 16 is inputted to the crest comparison circuit 18 through a delay circuit. By means of the crest comparison output, the output of each differentiation circuit is produced into a gate signal of an output supplied through crest discriminating circuits 24 and 26. Each gated output is supplied to count circuits 32 and 34 through a OR circuit together with an output of a crest discriminating circuit 40. This permits the discrimination of the output, whose crest value is higher than a given crest value, as alpha-rays.

When, e.g. the estimated arrival time to the alarm level becomes a prescribed time, the prealarm is output. The estimated arrival time may be displayed on a display. Regarding the generation condition of the prealarm, various conditions can be set.
