Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods to enhance system performance (e.g., UL throughput) without impinging on (e.g., tightening) processing timeline for UL-SCH data and/or CSI reporting. A base station may request for a UE to send a CSI report (s) during PDCCH monitoring. The base station may also request the UE to send UL-SCH data. At a first transmit opportunity, the UE may transmit first PUSCH (including UL-SCH data that may be multiplexed onto the first PUSCH). Additionally, at a second (later) transmit opportunity, the UE may transmit second PUSCH (including the CSI report (s) that may be multiplexed onto the second PUSCH). The second transmit opportunity may be identified as a transmit opportunity starting at least a specified number of symbols after a first symbol of the first repetition. The specified number of symbols may be dependent upon at least one of UE uplink processing time capabilities or SCS.

Abstract: Mechanisms are provided for a user equipment (UE) to determine a transmission frequency or a time advance for an uplink transmission from the UE to a base station in a non-terrestrial wireless network (NTN) without global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) information available to the UE. A communication connection between the UE and a base station can be established. The UE can determine that GNSS information is not available, and report to the base station that the GNSS information is not available. The UE can receive, from the base station, an indication of one or more parameters for an uplink transmission from the UE to synchronize the uplink transmission. The UE can determine, based on a current transmission frequency and the received indication of the one or more parameters, a next transmission frequency and transmit the uplink transmission at the determined next transmission frequency.

Abstract: Systems and methods for modularized design for inter-physical layer priority uplink control information (UCI) multiplexing are disclosed herein. A user equipment (UE) may determine a first code rate for a first portion of UCI and a second code rate for a second portion of UCI. Different code rates may be used to encode different portions of UCI (e.g., hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) bits, channel state information (CSI) reporting bits, scheduling request (SR) bits, cyclic redundancy check (CRC) bits, etc.). Further, a UE may select a group of bets offset sets based on a physical layer priority type and a UCI multiplexing type.

Abstract: Performing UCI multiplexing includes generating PUCCH resources Z at an L1 HP procedure and an L1 LP procedure. The L1 HP procedure and the L1 LP procedure results in a plurality of HP PUCCHs and LP PUCCHs, respectively. A modified procedure for Set Q to resources Z is performed with the plurality of HP PUCCHs and LP PUCCHs as inputs. The plurality of HP PUCCHs according to starting symbols is scanned to identify an earliest starting HP PUCCH. A PUCCH from the plurality of LP PUCCHs or HP PUCCHS that overlaps with the earliest starting HP PUCCH is collected. Inter-L1 priority multiplexing is performed on the earliest starting HP PUCCH and the collected PUCCH, which may result in a new HP PUCCH. The new HP PUCCH is inserted into the Set Q. The modified procedure is repeated until there is no overlap among the HP PUCCHs and the LP PUCCHs.

Abstract: Some embodiments include an apparatus, method, and computer program product for facilitating frequency hopping for physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) communications in 5G wireless communication systems. When inter-slot and/or inter-repetition frequency hopping is used, user equipment (UE) may transmit a first portion of symbols in a first slot using a first transmission frequency indicated by a frequency domain resource allocation. The UE may transmit a second portion of symbols in a second slot using a second offset frequency. When intra-repetition frequency hopping is used and the symbols are segmented, the UE may disable the intra-repetition frequency hopping and transmit the segmented portion of symbols using a particular transmission frequency indicated by the frequency domain resource allocation. When intra-repetition frequency hopping is used and the symbols are non-segmented, the UE may apply frequency hopping to divide a portion of symbols for transmission within a repetition.
