    Abstract: Approaches are described that enhance the reliability of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) detection where the PDCCH can be transmitted repeatedly with different beams. The approaches use soft combining where the user equipment (UE) combines the soft bits from each repetition, with the combined soft bits used to jointly decode the PDCCH repetitions. To support the soft combining, the UE needs to buffer the soft bits. Buffering approaches include determining what contributes towards the buffering, including scenarios where one of the linked search sets (SSs) is dropped, what is contributed in a linked SS set pair, how the duration of buffer counting is determined, and how the UE reports its maximum buffer size capability. In scenarios where the required buffer size exceeds the UE maximum buffer size, a priority rule may be used in the PDCCH decoding using the SS sets pair, where the priority is based on the SS type, the serving cell index, the SS set ID and/or the control channel resource set (CORESET) ID.

    Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for a wakeup radio in a wireless communication system, e.g., in 5G NR systems and beyond. An RRC state is introduced to support a wakeup radio/, including defining transition mechanisms to/from existing RRC states. Further, signaling is introduced to activate a wakeup radio/activate an RRC low power state. Additionally, a bandwidth part framework for a wakeup signal is defined in which a base station may configure one or more time/frequency resources or a wakeup signal for a wakeup radio. In addition, various mechanisms are introduced to switch a wakeup radio on as well as to switch a wakeup radio off. Also, mechanisms are introduced for multiplexing multiple wakeup signals in a time/frequency resource, configuring a wakeup signal bandwidth, and configuring which beam a wakeup signal may be received on.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for signaling cross-division duplex configurations. One of the methods includes determining, by a first device and for a symbol in a time slot of a cross-division duplex transmission link with a second device, that the first device can use a combination of multiple different symbol types across frequency to communicate with the second device at the symbol using cell-specific configuration data that indicates, for each of multiple symbols across time, various combinations of two or more symbol types from the multiple different symbol types to use to communicate across the respective symbol; and communicating, by the first device and with the second device using the cross-division duplex transmission link, across the symbol in the time slot using a first symbol type for a first bandwidth unit and a second, different symbol type for a second, different bandwidth unit.

    Abstract: Configuring channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) reporting at a network may include encoding a channel state information (CSI) reporting configuration communication for transmission to a user equipment (UE) that is in connected mode with both a first transmission and reception point (TRP) and a second TRP. The CSI reporting configuration may include a first group of CMR (Channel Measurement Resource) resources for the first TRP, and a second group of CMR resources for the second TRP. A CSI measurement communication received from the UE, may be measurements based on the CSI-RS reporting configuration communication. Based on the CSI measurement communication, one or more downlink data transmissions may be scheduled.
