Polyolefin composition with improved sealability comprising from 70 to 95% of one or more copolymers of propylene with one or more comonomers selected from ethylene, a C 4 -C 8 α-olefin and combinations thereof, where the comonomer, or comonomers, content in (A) is from 5 to 25%, and from 5 to 30% by weight of butene-1 (co)polymer (B) having a flexural modulus of 60 MPa or less.

An oriented monolayer or multilayer film, wherein the monolayer film comprises a copolymer (A1) of propylene with hexene-1 containing from 4 to 10% by weight of hexene-1 and having MFR from 0.5 to 10 g/10 min., and the multilayer film comprises at least 30% by weight of said copolymer (A1), both the monolayer and the multilayer film being obtainable with a process comprising a drawing step wherein the film is drawn with a draw ratio of at least 3, in at least one direction.

ISO 1133) ranging from 0.2 g/lOmin to 4.0 g/10min; the sum A+B being 100 and the sum b1+b2 being 100.

Propylene-ethylene copolymers are flexible and show a very good balance between softness and mechanical properties in their crude state are obtained by solution polymerization in the presence of Ziegler-Natta catalysts. The said copolymers comprise from 10 to 50%wt of ethylene and are characterized by: product of the comonomer reactivity ratio r1•r2 ≤1.5; absence of 2,1 propylene insertions and tensile strength at break higher than 4 Mpa.

A hot melt adhesive polyolefin composition comprising a high melt flow butene-1 copolymer suitable to be used as a glue in paper and packaging industry, in furniture manufacture e.g. for edgebands, particularly square edges and softforming, for paneling in high moisture environments, particularly suitable for acting as a glue in tufted or needle punched carpets.
