    Abstract: Stabilizer composition comprises a 3-aryl acrylate(s), a polymer compound of mol. wt. at least 2000 with secondary amino side groups and with all the substitutents in the alpha position with respect to the amine nitrogen atom being other than hydrogen, a chromane derivative(s) and an organic phosphite and/or phosphonite(s). Stabilizer composition comprises a 3-aryl acrylate(s) of formula (I), a polymer compound of mol. wt. at least 2000 with secondary amino side groups and with all the substitutents in the alpha position with respect to the amine nitrogen atom being other than hydrogen, a chromane derivative(s) of formula (II) and an organic phosphite and/or phosphonite(s): Ar-CR =CR -(C=O)-O-R (I) Ar = aryl optionally substituted by 1-4C alkyl or alkoxy, OH, phenoxy, amino, mono- or di-(1-4C alkyl)amino, halogen or nitro or has a methylene dioxy group; R = 1-20C alkyl or 2-20C alkenyl; R and R = H or 1-4C alkyl; and R = (CH2)3CH(CH3)(CH2)3CH(CH3)(CH2)3CH(CH3)CH3 , CH2CH2OCO(7-30C alkyl), CH2CH2S(1-30C alkyl) or group (i). An Independent claim is included for a thermoplastic molding composition comprising a thermoplastic polyurethane(s) and a stabilizer(s) as above.

    Abstract: Novel 4-Formylamino-N-methylpiperidine compounds are claimed. 4-Formylamino-N-methylpiperidine compounds (I) are of formula (1). [Image] Independent claims are included for: (i) a process for the preparation of piperidine compounds (I) by reaction of a compound of formula (2) with formaldehyde in an organic solvent, emulsion or suspension having a b.pt. of at least 70 [deg]C (at 1.013 bar) followed by reaction with formic acid at a temperature from at least 70 [deg]C to the b.pt. (at 1.013 bar) of the solvent, emulsifying or suspension agent; and (ii) a stabilized organic material containing the piperidine compound (I). R1>-R4>1-4C alkyl or R1> and R2> together or R3> and R4> together optionally form a tetramethylene or pentamethylene group; R5>H or 1-4C alkyl; n : 1 or 2; Y : H, 1-22C alkyl, 2-22C alkenyl, 3-12C cycloalkyl or bicycloalkyl, CN, OH, 1-4C alkoxycarbonyl substituted 1-22C alkyl, ether, nitrogen or sulfur linkage containing 4-22C alkyl optionally substituted by OH, 1-4C alkyl, F, Cl, 1-4C alkoxy or di(1-4C alkyl) amino substituted 7-22C phenyl or diphenylalkyl,. phenyl optionally substituted by 1-4C alkyl or 1-4C alkoxycarbonyl or a group of formula (3) or a heterocyclic group containing 1-22C alkyl when n is 1; Y : 1-22C alkylene, 5-22C cycloalkylene, 8-14C phenylalkylene, phenylene or 4-30C alkylene containing -O-, -N- or -S- linkage or a six membered heterocycle when n is 2.
