PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer dispersion for improving mechanical properties of building materials. SOLUTION: The polymer dispersion contains a copolymer containing, as a monomer to be polymerized and introduced into the copolymer, an aliphatic conjugated diene, a vinylaromatic monomer, the monoester of a 2-10C alkanediol containing acrylic acid or methacrylic acid, an alkyl polyethylene glycol (meth) acrylate of formula (1), a mixture from the monoester and the alkyl polyethylene glycol (meth)acrylate, an ethylenically unsaturated monomer having an acid group or a salt thereof, an ethylenically unsaturated nitrile, and an amide of an α,β-ethylenically unsaturated monocarboxylic acid and an amide of an α,β- ethylenically unsaturated dicarboxylic acid.
