Abstract: The invention relates to magnetic recording media, consisting of a nonmagnetic substrate and at least one magnetisable layer firmly applied thereon and based on a polyurethane binder which is optionally crosslinked with polyisocyanate, and the binder consisting of at least 50% by weight of a low molecular weight branched polyureaurethane having OH-containing urea groups at the chain ends, and in which the sliding properties are improved and the friction is improved by incorporating perfluoro groups.
