Abstract: Laminate (IA) comprises (i) a first covering layer, (ii) an adhesion promoter layer containing polyurethane with a density of 400-1200 g/l, (iii) a foam layer containing polyisocyanurate with a density of 20-300 g/l, (iv) optionally a second adhesion promoter layer containing polyurethane with a density of 400-1200 g/l and thickness of 50-500 mu m and (v) a second covering layer. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) production of laminate (IB) comprising (i) a first covering layer, (ii) a reactive adhesion promoter layer containing polyurethane with a density of 400-1200 g/l, (iii) a foam layer containing polyisocyanurate with a density of 30-100 g/l, (iv) optionally a second adhesion promoter layer containing polyurethane with a density of 400-1200 g/l and (v) a second covering layer; (2) use of a polyurethane adhesion promoter to improve the adhesion between layers of a laminate containing a polyisocyanurate foam and covering layers.

Abstract: A method for the preparation of polyisocyanurate foams with reduced thermal conductivity, comprises reacting optionally modified organic polyisocyanates (A) with at least one high mol.wt. compound (B) containing two or more reactive hydrogen atoms and optionally with low mol.wt. chain extenders and/or cross-linking agents (C), in the presence of catalysts (D), optional propellants (E) and optional auxiliary agents and/or additives (F). At least one recycled polyol obtained by glycolysis of polyisocyanurate foam using carrier polyols with a maximum OH content of 500 mg KOH/g and molar mass of at least 450 g/mole, is used as (B). Also claimed are polyisocyanurate foams prepared by the above method.
