Abstract: The invention relates to a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic moulding material containing the following ingredients in relation to the sum of ingredients A-D and optionally E and F, representing a total of 100 wt. %: d) 10-97 wt. % of at least one aromatic polyester as ingredient A; e) 1-50 wt. % of at least one particle-shaped grafted copolymer with a soft phase glass transition temperature that is lower than 0 DEG C and an average particle size of 50-1000 nm as ingredient B; f) 1-50 wt. % of at least one copolymer made of monomers c1) 50-90 wt. % of at least one vinyl aromatic monomer as ingredient C1 and c2) 10-25 wt. % acrylonitrile and/or methacrylonitrile as ingredient C2, as ingredient C; 1-50 wt. % glass fibers as ingredient D; f) 0-25 wt. % other ingredients that are compatible, can be mixed in a homogenous manner with ingredients A and/or C and can be dispersed therein, as ingredient E; f) 0-10 wt. % usual additives such as UV stabilizers, oxidation retarders, lubricating agents and release agents as ingredient F. The invention also relates to moulded parts made from said moulding materials and used in the interiors of motor vehicles. The invention further relates to the use of moulding materials in the production of moulded parts.

Abstract: A process for the preparation of fiber-reinforced moldings for motor vehicles wherein the molding comprisesa) from 1 to 96.86% by weight of at least one polycondensate,b) from 1 to 12% by weight of at least one particulate graft copolymer whose soft phase has a glass transition temperature below 0° C. and whose median particle size is from 50 to 1000 nm,c) from 1 to 12% by weight of at least one copolymer made from the following monomers,c1) from 50 to 90% by weight of at least one vinylaromatic monomer, andc2) from 10 to 50% by weight of acrylonitrile and/or methacrylonitrile, based in each case on component c,d) from 0 to 20% by weight ofe) from 0.01 to 15% by weight of a polycarbonate,f) from 0.01 to 2% by weight of a carbon black,g) from 0 to 12% by weight of a polymer other than component B,h) from 0 to 20% by weight of a polyester other than component A,i) from 0.1 to 10% by weight of conventional additives, such as UV stabilizers, oxidation retarders, lubricants and mold-release agents. Moldings and composites made from these molding compositions are as described as is the use of the molding compositions, the moldings and the composites.

Abstract: A novel thermoplastic molding composition contains: (A) polyamides; (B) smoothed fiber type filler; (C) straight chain carboxylic acid salt of chain length (including the terminal carboxyl carbon atom) at least 20, preferably at least 24 carbon atoms; (D) alkali metal halide, a copper(I) compound; and optionally (E) a colorant soluble in polyamide; (F) an impact modifier; and/or (G) further additives. A novel thermoplastic molding composition contains (wt.%): (A) polyamides (1-99.889); (B) smoothed fiber type filler (0.1-50); (C) straight chain carboxylic acid salt of chain length (including the terminal carboxyl carbon atom) at least 20, preferably at least 24 C atoms (0.01-0); (D) alkali metal halide, copper(I) compound (0.00-7); optionally (E) a colorant soluble in polyamide (0-3); (F) an impact modifier (0-35); and/or (G) further additives (0-30). Independent claims are included for: (1) a synthetic plastic shaped body or single-piece synthetic plastic hollow body containing thermoplastic shaped bodies; and (2) synthetic plastic building parts, especially multi-piece synthetic plastic hollow bodies, including at least two synthetic plastic shaped bodies joined by ultrasonic, laser, hot element, or vibration welding, containing thermoplastic molded bodies.
