    Abstract: Non-sticky preparations containing hindered amines (I) based on maleimide/alpha -olefin copolymers are produced by adding metal salts of organic acids to (I) in the form of a solution or melt, removing solvent (if used) and converting the mixture into the required usage form. A method for the production of non-sticky preparations containing: (i) compound(s) of formula (I) with an average mol. wt. of 500-50000; (ii) optionally other compounds selected from: (a) organic phosphites, phosphines and phosphonites; (b) sterically-hindered phenols; (c) sterically-hindered amines other than (I); and (d) chromanes, and/or (iii) other optional additives: [Image] R1>tetramethylpiperidinyl residue of formula (II) or a mixture of two or more groups comprising H, 1-22C alkyl, cyclopentyl, cyclohexyl and group (II), with the proviso that at least 50 mol% of R1> consists of groups (II); [Image] R2>14-28C alkyl; R3>H, 1-6C alkyl, formyl, 2-6C alkanoyl, 1-12C alkoxy, cyclopentyloxy, cyclohexyloxy, cyanomethyl, 2-hydroxyethyl, benzyl and/or -CR4>=CH-COOR5>; R4>H or 1-6C alkyl; R5>1-18C alkyl, 5-8C cycloalkyl, 7-18C arylalkyl, phenyl and/or tolyl. The method entails: (a) adding metal salt(s) of organic acid(s) to component (i) (optionally with ii and/or iii) in the form of a homogeneous solution in inert solvent(s) or as a melt, or making a mixture of (i) etc. and metal salt(s) and converting this into a solution or melt: (b) removing the solvent (in the case of solutions); and (c) converting the solution or melt into the required usage form (either during or after stage (b) in the case of solutions). Independent claims are included for non-sticky preparations obtained by this method and polymers stabilised against the action of UV light, oxygen and/or heat, containing non-sticky preparations as described above objects made from such polymers.
