    Abstract: The thermoplastic molding composition comprises components A, B, C and D, and also, where appropriate, E, F, G and H, the entirety of which gives 100% by weight: a) from 1 to 97.5% by weight of at least one aromatic polycarbonate A, b) from 1 to 97.5% by weight of at least one graft polymer B made from b1) from 40 to 80% by weight of a graft base made from an elastomeric polymer B1 based on alkyl acrylates having from 1 to 8 carbon atoms in the alkyl radical, on ethylene-propylene, on dienes or on siloxanes, and having a glass transition temperature below 0° C., b2) from 20 to 60% by weight of a graft B2 made from b21) from 60 to 95% by weight of styrene or of substituted styrenes B21 of the formula I where R is C1-C8-alkyl or hydrogen and R1 is C1-C8-alkyl and n is 1, 2 or 3, or a mixture of these, and b22) from 5 to 40% by weight of at least one unsaturated nitrile B22, c) from 1 to 97.5% by weight of at least one thermoplastic copolymer C made from c1) from 60 to 85% by weight of styrene or of substituted styrenes C1 of the formula I, or mixtures of these compounds, and c2) from 15 to 40% by weight of at least one unsaturated nitrile C2, d) from 0.5 to 25% by weight of a mixture D made from, based on component D, d1) from 5 to 95% by weight of at least one particulate mineral filler D1, and d2) from 5 to 95% by weight of fibrous fillers D2, where at least 50% by weight of the fibrous fillers have a length of at least 50 mum, and other ingredients where appropriate.

    Abstract: A process for the preparation of fiber-reinforced moldings for motor vehicles wherein the molding comprisesa) from 1 to 96.86% by weight of at least one polycondensate,b) from 1 to 12% by weight of at least one particulate graft copolymer whose soft phase has a glass transition temperature below 0° C. and whose median particle size is from 50 to 1000 nm,c) from 1 to 12% by weight of at least one copolymer made from the following monomers,c1) from 50 to 90% by weight of at least one vinylaromatic monomer, andc2) from 10 to 50% by weight of acrylonitrile and/or methacrylonitrile, based in each case on component c,d) from 0 to 20% by weight ofe) from 0.01 to 15% by weight of a polycarbonate,f) from 0.01 to 2% by weight of a carbon black,g) from 0 to 12% by weight of a polymer other than component B,h) from 0 to 20% by weight of a polyester other than component A,i) from 0.1 to 10% by weight of conventional additives, such as UV stabilizers, oxidation retarders, lubricants and mold-release agents. Moldings and composites made from these molding compositions are as described as is the use of the molding compositions, the moldings and the composites.

    Abstract: The invention relates to fibre-reinforced moulding materials containing, in relation to the sum of components A to F and possibly G to I which adds up to a total of 100 % by weight, of a) between 1 and 96.86 % by weight of at least one polycondensate, as component A; b) between 1 and 12 % by weight of at least one particulate graft copolymer having a glass transition temperature in the soft phase of below 0 DEG C and a mean particle size of between 50 and 1000 nm, as component B; c) as component C between 1 and 12 % by weight of at least one copolymer which consists of the following monomers: c1) between 50 and 90 % by weight, in relation to component C, of at least one aromatic vinyl monomer, as component C1; and c2) between 10 and 50 % by weight, in relation to component C, acrylic nitrile and/or methacrylic nitrile, as component C2; d) between 1 and 20 % by weight fibres, as component D; e) between 0.01 and 15 % by weight of a polycarbonate, as component E; f) between 0.01 and 2 % by weight of a black, as component F; g) between 0 and 12 % by weight of a polymer which is different from component B, as component G; h) between 0 and 20 % by weight of a polyester which is different from component A, as component H; and i) between 0.1 and 10 % by weight of standard additives such as UV stabilizers, antioxidants, lubricants and mould-release agents as component I. The invention further relates to moulded parts and composites made from the above moulded materials and to the use of said moulded materials, moulded parts and composites.

    Abstract: Thermoplastic moulding material of the following composition (I): (A) 30 to 97 weight % of a thermoplastic polyester or polyamide or of a mixture of said polymers, whereby said polymers or their mixture have a viscosity index greater than 165; (B) 3 to 40 weight % of an olefin polymerizate, comprised of (b1) 40 to 100 weight % of at least one alpha -olefin with 2 to 8 atoms of C, (b2) 0 to 50 weight % of a diene, (b3) 0 to 45 weight % of a primary or secondary C1 to C12 acrylic acid or methacrylic acid alkylester or mixtures of such esters, (b4) 0 to 40 weight % of an ethylenically unsaturated monocarboxylic or bicarboxylic acid and/or a functional derivative of such an acid, (b5) 0 to 40 weight % of a monomer containing epoxy groups, with the provision that the component (B) is not an olefin homopolymerizate and that it has a gel content no greater than 50 %; (C) 0 to 60 weight % of fillers in fibre or particle form, or mixtures thereof; and (D) 0 to 40 % of a flame protection agent; or of the following composition (II): (A) 20 to 99 weight % of a thermoplastic polyester or polyamide or of a mixture of said polymers; (D) 1 to 40 weight % of a flame protection agent; (B) 0 to 20 % of an olefin polymerizate; and (C) 0 to 60 weight % of fillers in fibre or particle form or mixtures thereof. Said thermoplastic moulding materials can be produced by thermal treatment of mixtures of a type (A) component (component A'), whose viscosity index is lesser than 160, with the remaining components, at temperatures between 60 DEG C below and 60 DEG C above the melting point of the pure component (A).
