    Abstract: A synergistic herbicidal mixture comprising A) at least one 3-heterocyclyl-substituted benzoyl derivative of the formula I in which the variables have the following meanings: R 1 , R 3 are halogen, alkyl, haloalkyl, alkoxy, haloalkoxy, alkylthio, alkylsulfinyl or alkylsulfonyl; R 2 is a optionally substituted heterocyclic radical selected from the group: isoxazol-3-yl, isoxazol-4-yl, isoxazol-5-yl, 4,5-dihydroisoxazol-3-yl, 4,5-dihydroisoxazol-4-yl and 4,5-dihydroisoxazol-5-yl; R 4 is hydrogen, halogen or alkyl; R 5 is alkyl; R 6 is hydrogen or alkyl; or one of its environmentally compatible salts; and B) at least the compound of formula IIa or one of its environmentally compatible salts; or the compound of formula IIb or one of its environmentally compatible salts; and, if desired, C) at least one further herbicidal compound; in a synergistically effective amount. Compositions comprising these mixtures, processes for the preparation of these compositions, and their use for controlling undesired plants.

    Abstract: The disclosure relates to mixtures comprising: (a) a compound of the formula (I) in which X, m, Q and a are as defined in the specification and (b) one or more ethylene modulators (II) selected from the group consisting of: inhibitors of ethylene biosynthesis inhibitors which block the conversion of ACC into ethylene, selected from the group consisting of: Co++ or Ni++ ions in plant-available forms; phenolic radical scavengers such as n-propyl gallate; polyamines, such as putrescine, spermine or spermidine; structural analogs of ACC, such as alpha-aminoisobutyric acid or L-aminocyclopropene-1-carboxylic acid; salicylic acid or acibenzolar-S-methyl; structural analogs of ascorbic acid which act as inhibitors of ACC oxidase, such as prohexadione-Ca or trinexapac-ethyl; and triazolyl compounds such as paclobutrazol or uniconazole as inhibitors of cytochrome P-450-dependent monooxygenases whose main action is to block the biosynthesisof gibberellins; and inhibitors of the action of ethylene selected from the group consisting of: structural analogs of ethylene such as 1-methylcyclopropene or 2,5-norbornadiene and 3-amino-1,2,4-triazole or Ag++ ions, in a weight ratio of (I) to (II) of from 20 : 1 to 0.05 : 1; with the proviso, that the combination of (1) azoxystrobin, kresoxim-methyl, metominostrobin, trifloxystrobin, picoxystrobin with prohexadione-Ca; and (2) orysastrobin with acibencolar-S-methyl; are excluded. Also disclosed is process for controlling rust infections in legumes (such as rust infections caused by Phakopsora pachyrhizi and/or Phakopsora meibomiae on leaves and fruits of soya plants), which comprises treating the above-ground plant parts of the legumes with an aqueous preparation of said mixture. The disclosure also relates to compositions comprising these mixtures and to their use for controlling harmful fungi.
