Abstract: Method wherein a glass made of polycarbonate is varnished with a self-curing monocomponent polymer composition based on acrylic polyurethane and which is polymerized directly on the glass, after it has been coated on the latter and desolvation by UV photopolymerization. The composition comprises photoabsorbing substances which are susceptible particularly of protecting the glass against ageing due to solar light, which subtances absorb wave lengths in a first predetermined range. The polymerization of said composition is activated in a second predetermined range of wave lengths longer than those of the first range, particularly by radiation with a mercury/lead lamp.

Abstract: The invention relates to a multicomponent system that can be cured thermally or by actinic radiation and that comprises A) an isocyanate-reactive binder component, comprising in the molecule A 1) at least one unsaturated polyester that contains, on a statistical average, at least one group of the formulae (I), (II), wherein the index n is an integer of from 1 to 10, and/or (III), said group being activated by actinic radiation, as well as A 2) at least one binder that is different from the polyester (A 1) that contains, on the statistical average, at least two isocyanate-reactive functional groups in the molecule, and/or A 3) at least one binder that is different from the polyester (A 1) and that contains, on the statistical average, at least one isocyanate-reactive functional group and at least one reactive functional group having at least one bond in the molecule that is activated by actinic radiation, and B) a cross-linking component comprising B 1) at least one polyisocyanate and/or B 2) at least one polyisocyanate that contains, on the statistical average, at least one reactive functional group having at least one bond in the molecule that is activated by actinic radiation.
