    Abstract: Method wherein a glass made of polycarbonate is varnished with a self-curing monocomponent polymer composition based on acrylic polyurethane and which is polymerized directly on the glass, after it has been coated on the latter and desolvation by UV photopolymerization. The composition comprises photoabsorbing substances which are susceptible particularly of protecting the glass against ageing due to solar light, which subtances absorb wave lengths in a first predetermined range. The polymerization of said composition is activated in a second predetermined range of wave lengths longer than those of the first range, particularly by radiation with a mercury/lead lamp.
