Abstract: En la presente descripción se describe una composición de revestimiento acuoso que contiene un polímero aniónicamente estabilizado, una o más poliaminas derivatizadas, y una base volátil. Las composiciones de revestimiento además puede incluir uno más copolímeros adicionales, que pueden o no ser aniónicamente estabilizados, y/o aditivos adicionales, que incluyen pigmentos, antiespumantes, agentes dispersantes de pigmentos, espesantes, agentes tensioactivos, y combinaciones de los mismos. Al incorporar una poliamina derivatizada, tal como una poliamina alcoxilada, se puede reducir el tiempo de fraguado de las composiciones de revestimiento. También se proveen revestimientos formados de las composiciones de revestimiento descritas en la presente, así como métodos de formación de estos revestimientos.

Coating compositions can further include one or more additional copolymers, which may or may not be anionically stabilized, and/or additional additives, including pigments, defoamers, pigment dispersing agents, thickeners, surfactants, and combinations thereof. By incorporating a derivatized polyamine, such as an alkoxylated polyamine, the setting time of the coating compositions can be decreased. Also provided are coatings formed from the coating compositions described herein, as well as methods of forming these coatings.

Abstract: Sound damping compositions and methods for their application are described herein. The compositions can include a polymer, a polyacrylate rheology modifier, and a polyurethane rheology modifier. The compositions can alternatively include a polymer derived from greater than 80% of one or more monomers selected from the group consisting of butyl acrylate, 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate, methyl acrylate and ethyl acrylate and combinations thereof and greater than 0% and less than 4% of one or more functional monomers, at least one rheology modifier, and a surfactant. Also described herein are sound damping products including the compositions described herein and structures including the sound damping products. Methods for damping sound in a structure are further described herein. The methods include applying the compositions to the surface of a structure and drying the composition.

The polyalkylene glycol is present in the surfactant composition in an amount of from 3 to 20 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the surfactant composition.
