Abstract: A surfactant composition includes a first surfactant, a second surfactant, and a polyalkylene glycol. The first surfactant is of the general formula R1-O-(A)mH, wherein R1 is an aliphatic hydrocarbon having 10 carbon atoms, A is an alkyleneoxy group having from 2 to 5 carbon atoms, and m is a positive number. The second surfactant is of the general formula R2-O-(B)nH, wherein R2 is an aliphatic hydrocarbon having from 12 to 14 carbon atoms, B is an alkyleneoxy group having from 2 to 5 carbon atoms, and n is a positive number. The polyalkylene glycol is present in the surfactant composition in an amount of from 3 to 20 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the surfactant composition.

Abstract: Mezcla de tensioactivos que contiene (A) un componente de cadena corta que contiene el producto de alcoxilación de alcanoles, en el cual los alcanoles presentan 8 a 12 átomos de carbono y la cantidad media de grupos alcoxi por grupo alcanol en el producto de alcoxilación adopta un valor de 3 a 30, y los grupos alcoxi están seleccionados entre el grupo conformado por grupos etoxi, propoxi, butoxi y pentoxi y los alcanoles presentan un grado medio de ramificación de, al menos, 1 y (B) un componente de cadena larga que contiene el producto de alcoxilación de alcanoles, en el cual los alcanoles presentan 16 a 20 átomos de carbono y la cantidad media de grupos alcoxi por grupo alcanol en el producto de alcoxilación adopta un valor de 3 a 30, y los grupos alcoxi están seleccionados entre el grupo conformado por grupos etoxi, propoxi, butoxi y pentoxi y los alcanoles presentan un grado medio de ramificación de 0,0 a 0,3; o sus ésteres de fosfato o sulfato y carboxilatos de éter, asimismo, la relación del porcentaje en peso del componente de cadena corta (A) en la mezcla de tensioactivos, en relación al porcentaje en peso del componente de cadena larga (B) en la mezcla de tensioactivos, adopta un valor de 97 : 3 a 30 : 70.

Abstract: Production of alkylaromatic compounds (I), by reacting 3-30C olefins (II) (or alcohols forming (II) under the reaction conditions) with aromatic hydrocarbons (III) in presence of an alkylation catalyst (IV), is carried out in a cascade of at least two reactors each containing (IV), where at least 80 % of (III) is supplied to the first reactor of the cascade and at least 40 % of (II) is supplied after the first reactor. An independent claim is included for the preparation of alkylarylsulfonates (A), by: (1) converting a 4C olefin mixture over a metathesis catalyst to give an olefin mixture containing 2-pentene and/or 2-hexene; (2) catalytically dimerizing the 2-pentene and/or 2-hexene (optionally after isolation) to give a mixture containing 10-12C olefins, optionally separating the 10-12C olefins and separating 5-30 wt. % (based on the 10-12C olefins) of low-boiling components of the 10-12C olefins; (3) reacting the obtained 10-12C olefin mixture with (III) in presence of (IV) to give alkylaromatic compounds (I'), optionally with addition of 0-60 wt. % (based on the 10-12C olefin mixture) of linear olefins before the reaction; (4) sulfonating (I') and neutralizing to give (A), optionally with addition of 0-60 wt. % (based on (I')) of linear alkylbenzenes (provided that no mixing has been carried out in the previous step); and (5) optionally mixing the obtained (A) with optionally with addition of 0-60 wt. % (based on (A)) of linear aralkylsulfonates (provided that no mixing has been carried out either of the previous two steps); The novel feature being that the reaction in the alkylation stage (3) is carried out as for the present procedure for preparing (I).

Abstract: The present invention relates to a surfactant mixture comprising (A) a short-chain component comprising the alkoxylation product of alkanols, where the alkanols have 8 to 12 carbon atoms and the average number of alkoxy groups per alkanol group in the alkoxylation product assumes a value from 3 to 30 and the alkoxy groups are chosen from the group consisting of ethoxy, propoxy, butoxy and pentoxy groups and the alkanols have an average degree of branching of at least 1; and (B) a long-chain component comprising the alkoxylation product of alkanols where the alkanols have 13 to 20 carbon atoms and the average number of alkoxy groups per alkanol group in the alkoxylation product assumes a value from 3 to 30 and the alkoxy groups are chosen from the group consisting of ethoxy, propoxy, butoxy and pentoxy groups and the alkanols have an average degree of branching of from 0.0 to 0.3; and phosphate esters, sulfate esters and ether carboxylates thereof. In addition, the present invention relates to a formulation comprising such surfactant mixtures, and to the use of these, for example for the cleaning of hard surfaces.

Abstract: Procedimiento de elaboración de compuestos alquilaromáticos mediante reacción de olefinas C 3-30 o alcoholes, a partir de los cuales se forman olefinas C3-30 en las condiciones de reacción, con un hidrocarburo aromático en presencia de un catalizador de alquilación, caracterizado porque la reacción se efectúa en una cascada de reactores constituida por al menos dos reactores, conteniendo cada uno de los reactores el catalizador de alquilación, al menos un 80% del hidrocarburo aromático se alimenta en el primer reactor de la cascada de reactores y al menos un 40% de las olefinas se alimenta intermediamente tras el primer reactor.
