    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance the measuring accuracy of a blow point, by accurately measuring vulcanization temps. at respective parts of a sample with the elapse of time by a plurality of temp. sensors inserted in the sample during valcanization so as to reach predetermined positions. CONSTITUTION:The cavity of a vulcanization mold is packed with unvulcanized rubber to start vulcanization and, at such a stage that the fluidization of rubber was settled, four temp. sensors 27 are allowed to advance to be horizontally inserted so as to reach the required positions of rubber. Next, temps. are measured with the elapse of time by the temp. sensors 27 and a vulcanization degree is continuously calculated from the measured results and a vulcanization time. Subsequently, from a measured vulcanization degree, it is confirmed that the vulcanization distribution of each part of rubber reached a required state to stop the vulcanization. Then, the final measured vulcanization degrees at the temp. measuring points are plotted at every measuring points and these points are connected by one line to estimate the vulcanization degree of each part of the sample in the longitudinal direction.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To carry out the vulcanization without causing irregularity in a vulcanization state and enhanced the productivity or quality by estimating the energy at the time of next vulcanization so that the fluctuation tendency of energy calculated between a plurality of materials to be vulcanized enters into a specific range and controlling next vulcanization on the basis of this estimation. CONSTITUTION:In vulcanization treatment, the update data at the time of initial vulcanization stored in an external memory device as a data base is read, for example, five times and a vulcanization state value is estimated from the read data to judge whether the vulcanization state value is within a specific tolerance range. When the estimated value is within the tolerance range, a tire is vulcanized as it is and, when the value is out of the torelance range, the energy for vulcanizing the tire 48 is determined while the vulcanization state value is held within the torelance range. That is, the energy allowing all of the values of a vulcanization time, a vulcanization degree and the max. temp. to enter the torelance range is operated to determine the energy at the time of the next vulcanization of the tire. The temp. of the heating fluid supplied to a jacket 16 and upper and lower platens 22, 24 is altered by the determined energy to be reflected to the next tire 48.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To vulcanize a material to be vulcanized, such as a tire, into an optimum state without the variation of the vulcanized state of the material, such as a tire, in the vulcanized state. CONSTITUTION:Based on initial set conditions including a boundary condition of a tire 48 to be treated, a vulcanization and a time series temperature measurement are conducted (steps 102-112). In the initial set conditions, a thermal conductivity, a heat transfer coefficient, a heat flow rate, and the like as a function of a temperature are taken into consideration. An internal temperature of the tire is estimated using the measured temperature values by an FEN analysis by an analyzing model composed of the tire, a mold, and a bladder, and a latest point is determined by the estimated temperature (steps 114, 116). Next, a vulcanizing degree and a vulcanizing reactivity at the latest point are evaluated (a step 117). A vulcanizing time to a predetermined vulcanizing reactivity value is predicted (a step 118). A vulcanizing machine is feedback controlled till the elapse of the predicted vulcanizing time (steps 120-124).

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve resistance to ice and snow without impairing abrasion resistance and heat-generation durability by placing a foam rubber layer having closed cells in the thickness direction of a tread, and differentiating its foaming rate in the thickness direction and in the width direction of said tread. CONSTITUTION:A foam rubber layer 11 having closed cells is provided between both shoulders ranging over the whole thickness of a tread 3. In the foam rubber 12 constituting this foam rubber layer 11, the foaming rate Vs is differentiated between the outermost side part 11a and the innermost side part 11b, making the foaming rate Vs on the outermost side part 11a larger by more than 5% in the difference in foaming rate, than the foaming rate Vs on the innermost side part 11b. By this structure, resistance to ice and snow can be improved without impairing abrasion resistance and heat generation durability.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve resistance to ice and snow without impairing abrasion resisting performance and heat-generation durability by providing a specific foam rubber layer having a defined rate of volume to the whole volume of a tread on a tread surface side. CONSTITUTION:A foam rubber layer 10 having a volume more than 10% of the whole volume of a tread is formed on the surface part 3a of a tread 3. This foam rubber layer 10 has closed cells having a foaming rate of 5-50% and an average foam diameter of 5-150mum, while containing more than 20 per 1mm unit area of closed cells each having a foam diameter of 30-200mum. Also, its dynamic modulus of elasticity is specified to, 3X10 -13X10 dyn/cm . And, a low temp. softening agent of 2-20pts.wt. is blended with respect to a rubber ingredient of 100pts.wt. By this structure, resistance to ice and snow can be improved without impairing abrasion resistance and heat generation durability.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to calculate optimum vulcanizing time per tire and consequently eliminate the variation in the quality of tire without developing troubles such as the complication of hardening system and the like when the vulcanization treatment of the tire is carried out under the condition that a plurality of vulcanizing machines are put to work simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:Eight vulcanizing machines 10 are reccurringly put to work by selecting one vulcanizing machine 10 every day. The vulcanizing machine 10A selected on the first day is controlled by a workstation I so as to calculate vulcanizing reaction thermodynamic function by FEM on the basis of set conditions in order to estimate its vulcanizing time. Further, a polynominal, the factors in which are inputted on the basis of the data for obtaining estimated vulcanizing time, is formed and then stored in a data base 60A'. The remaining seven vulcanizing machines 10B-10H are controlled by workstations II and their vulcanizing times are estimated on the basis of data bases 60B'-60H', since the data bases 60B'-60H' are already formed when the vulcanizing machines are selected previously.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable precise and swift measurement of blow point through a small volume sample, by a method wherein a depth of a cavity to be formed by closing a top and bottom force parts is increased continuously or stepwise toward one end from the other end of the same. CONSTITUTION:A cavity 25 whose cross-sectional form is a isosceles trapezoid facing sideways is formed between both a top and bottom force parts by clamping the said two parts. In case where rubber is pressurized and vulcanized within a cavity wherein a depth is increased continuously from one end to the other end, it is desirable to make a temperature measuring region of the rubber, which is in the course of vulcanization, into the central region, whose length is l, separating from respective end fringes of the rubber more than three times as long as thicknesses h1, h2 at the respective end fringes of the rubber. In case where the temperature measuring region has been set up like this, temperature measurement which in its turn a degree of vulcanization can be performed by a method wherein the amount of heat to be transmitted to the interior of the rubber from a side wall of a vulcanizing mold 3 is not affected almost or at all and measuring accuracy of blow point can be made to improve effectively.
