    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a foamable rubber composition which foams homogeneously by mixing a rubber ingredient with given amounts of a foaming agent and an inert filler having a specific maximum average width. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. rubber ingredient is mixed with 0.1-10 pts.wt. foaming agent, e.g. dinitrosopentamethylenetetramine, 1-50 pts.wt. inert filler having a maximum average width of 0.1-100mum and selected from silica, alumina, lime, etc., and other additive(s) including a curing agent, a curing accelerator, an auxiliary accelerator, an oil extender, a softener, and an antioxidant to obtain the title composition which foams highly homogeneously. The composition is foamed by hot pressing in a given manner to obtain a foamed rubber regulated with respect to the number and average diameter of the resulting closed cells.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a pneumatic tire giving no deterioration after being used on ice and snow road for a long time and small change in hardness with time, by preparing a foamed rubber layer of a tread contg. a specified rubber component and a highly reinforcing carbon black and having a specified foaming ratio and a specified void diameter distribution. CONSTITUTION:In a pneumatic tire having a tire case and a tread covering a crown part of the case, a foamed rubber layer having a vol. which is at least 10% of the total vol. of the tread is provided on the surface side of the tread and this foamed rubber layer is comprised of a foamed rubber contg. a rubber component contg. 50pts.wt. or more one or more members selected from among natural rubber, polybutadiene rubber and styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber whose glass transition temp. is -45 deg.C or lower, a highly reinforcing carbon black whose N2SA is 90-180m /g and 10pts.wt. or less oil based on 100pts.wt. rubber component. This foamed rubber has closed cells whose foaming ratio is in the range of 0.5-50% and the number of 5-30mu particles is 50% or more of the total number wherein the total number of cells is defined as the number of those cells whose cell diameter is 5mu or larger.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance the workability in the manufacturing of a tire and the appearance of the tire, by constituting the surface parts of tire members, that is, a treat part, a side wall part and a bead part of an unvulcanized rubber composition containing an aromatic amine compound and applying halide to said surface parts to vulcanize and cure said composition. CONSTITUTION:The surface parts of tire members are constituted of an unvulcanized rubber composition containing an aromatic amine compounds consisting ofa nitroso aromatic amine compound represented by formula I (wherein R1 and R2 are a hydrogen atom, an alkyl, group, a hydroxyalkyl group, a cycloalkyl group or an aryl group) and a monomaleimide aromatic amine compound represented by formula II (Wherein, when R3=R4, both of them are a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group and, when R3not equal to R4, R3 is a hydrogen atom and R4 is a phenyl group), and halide represented by formula III (wherein R5 is a hydrogen atom, a methyl group,a chlorine atom or a bromine atom and X is a chlorine atom or a bromine atom) is applied to said surface parts to vulcanize and cure a partially cured molded tire in a press.
