Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the deflection at a belt side end part, prevent peeling, etc., of the belt-side end part, and improve the durability of a tire by setting the width of a belt or the like to be a tread width or less, and embedding it radially inside a carcass. CONSTITUTION:A tire is composed of a carcass 2 wind-folded back around a pair of bead cores 1 at both side end parts, a belt 4 consisting of a plurality of belt layers 3, and a tread part 6 for forming a tread surface 5. In this case, the width of the belt 4 is set to be a tread width or less, and it is disposed radially inside a crown part of the carcass 2. The external force acting on the tread part 6 is damped by the tread rubber and carcass 2 respectively and transmitted to the belt 4. The deflection at the side end parts of the belt 4 is thus reduced to prevent troubles such as peeling at the side end parts, thereby the durability of the belt 4 is improved.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent upper and lower cords from closely adhering to each other at the time of vulcanization by forming a reinforcing layer disposed between two layers of spiral cord layers by a fiber/rubber complex of one layer or more, in which fibers, the diameter or the maximum diameter and length of which are limited to a specified range are united in a body by a rubber layer. SOLUTION: A belt 5 comprises two, upper and lower layers of spiral cords 6, 6 formed by winding a rubber coated cord made by burying a one-wire organic fiber cord in coating rubber spirally at an angle along the circumferential direction of a tire in such a manner as to sequentially shift in the axial direction of the tire, and a reinforcing layer 7 formed by one layer of non-woven/rubber complex (fiber/rubber complex) disposed between the above cord. The diameter or the maximum diameter of a fiber is 0.1-100μm, preferably 0.1-50μm. As the length of the fiber, 8mm or more is required, preferably 10mm or more. Accordingly, two layers of spiral cords can be prevented from being pressed and made closely adhere to each other at the time of vulcanization so as to prevent lowering of durability.

Since the reinforcement is not provided for the side part 30, increase of a longitudinal spring constant (longitudinal rigidity) is suppressed, and the gap absorbance does not decrease.
