    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear tire for a bicycle improved in an on-road gripping property, handling performance, and straight-ahead stability, without an off-road gripping property. SOLUTION: On a tread portion 1, a plurality of bending grooves 2 is arranged across a tire equator surface E so as to shift in a tire circumferential direction. A first block land part is divided and formed by a first lug groove 8, a first groove part 11, a second lug groove 9, and a tread grounding end 7, and a second block land part 16 is divided and formed by the first lug groove 8, a second groove part 13, a coupling groove 10, a third groove part 14, the coupling groove 10, a forth groove part 15, the second lug groove 9, and the tread grounding end 7. An outer bending portion 4 is in a range of 10 to 30% of tread width W, and an inner end portion 5 and an outer end portion 6 are in a range of 10 to 17.5% of the tread width W. The minimum distance d between two bending grooves is in a range of 50 to 65% of a tire peripheral direction distance P1 between the first lug groove 8 and the second lug groove 9 which divide and form the first block land part 12.     Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the weight of a tire, to improve cornering characteristics, and to reduce a cost by forming a carcass with one carcass ply formed of cords crossing each other at a specified angle, and setting the height of the edge of a carcass folded part to a specified value. CONSTITUTION:A tire comprises a carcass 2 having two end parts folded in a manner to be wound around respective bead cores 1, a belt 7 disposed on the outer peripheral side of the carcass 2, and a tread part 9 which is disposed on the outer peripheral side of the belt 7 and with which a tread part 8 is formed. In this case, the carcass 2 is formed of one carcass ply 3 formed of cords crossing each other at an angle of 70-85 deg. with a tire equator surface X-X. The height of the edge of the folded part of the carcass 2 is set to H/3 being 1/3 or more of a tire height H. This constitution reduces the weight of a tire, improves cornering characteristics, and reduces a cost.
