    Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce a carbon electrode increasing the rate of an electrochemical reaction by providing hydrophilic property to a carbonaceous material by a low temp. plasma process. CONSTITUTION:A carbonaceous material is put in a low temp. plasma treating device and hydrophilic groups are introduced into the material by treatment with low temp. plasma of gaseous oxygen and/or ammonia to provide hydrophilic property to the material. Thus, a carbon electrode ensuring a high rate of an electrochemical reaction in a polar solvent is obtd. The electrode is useful as an electrode for a galvanic cell, a chemical reactor, a sensor, etc.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition excellent in running performances, abrasion resistance and appearance and useful as a rubber for high-performance tires, by mixing a rubber stock such as styrene/butadiene rubber with a specified reinforcing carbon black, silica and a silane coupling agent selected from two compounds. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. rubber stock (A) comprising a styrene/butadiene rubber (a) of a styrene content of 26-60% or a blend rubber comprising at least 20% component (a), a (halogenated) butyl rubber, etc. is mixed with 50-250 pts.wt. reinforcing carbon black (B) having an SA(N2) value of 300-500m /g, 24M4, oil absorption (DBP) value of 90-120ml/100g, a tint value of 100-150, a concentration of phenolic OH groups as surface functional groups of 3.5X10 -8.1X10 /m and a pH vale of 3-5, 0-80pts.wt. silica (C) and 4.65X10 -4.65X10 m.s [wherein m is the amount (in terms of pts.wt.) of component added, and s is the SA(N2) value of component B] at least one silane coupling agent (D) selected from the compounds of formula I-III (wherein X is nitroso, SH, NH2, vinyl, epoxy or the like, Y is a 1-4C alkyl, Cl or the like, n and m are each 1-6, and X' is a group of any one of formulas IV-VI).

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the rubber compsn. having improved tensile strength and wear resistance and suitable for use as a material for tires, by using, as a main component, a wet master batch obtd. by dispersing modified carbon black in a diene rubber latex. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a reinforcing carbon black having a nitrogen adsorption surface area of 70-200m /g and a DBP absorption of 80-130ml/100g is treated with low-temperature plasma to prepare a modified carbon black having a hydrophilicity level of 2-4. 30-150pts.wt. said modified carbon black as a water slurry is dispersed in 100pts.wt. (on a solid basis) rubber latex com prising natural rubber or a diene rubber component such as styrene/butadiene copolymer rubber to prepare a wet master batch. Said master batch is used as a main component to obtain the desired rubber compsn.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight form panel excellent in durability, having strength and rigidity at a low cost by filling the interior of a plastic hollow molded article formed by blow molding with a foam body to form a plate-like body by forming simultaneously with molding. SOLUTION: A hollow molded article is formed using polyethylene resin or the like by low molding and simultaneously polyethylene beads are put in the interior and formed to form a form panel 20 mm or more thick. The form panels 1, 1 are disposed opposite to each other, fixed by use of a separator 2, vertical and lateral pipes 6, 7 and the like, and concrete is placed therebetween. After placing concrete, the form may be used as a wall surface, and used as a heat insulating panel of a heat accumulation tank or the like. Fitting work for the form can be easily performed without sing expensive materials such as wood, a metal form, FRP and the like. Thus, a form panel excellent in durability can be provided at a low cost.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively lower the noise level of a low frequency range in heavy weight source floor impact sound by making a ceiling material provided under a ceiling slab-to have a resonance sound absorbing mechanism. SOLUTION: In a ceiling construction in which a ceiling material 2 is provided under a ceiling slab 1 made of a concrete slab and the like, the ceiling material 2 is provided with a resonance sound absorbing mechanism such as a resonator. This resonance sound absorbing mechanism 3 is constructed so that the base end side of a head part having an opening part on one end side is connected to a main body part, and the communicating passage in the head part is communicated to the hollow part in the main body part. By this resonance sound absorbing mechanism 3, a resonance phenomenon due to the mass of the head part and the air spring component in the hollow part of the main body part is utilized, and standing wave in a room generated by heavy weight source floor impact is reduced. Consequently, a noise level in the low frequency range to be exceedingly problems in heavy weight source floor impact sound can be effectively reduced.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a sound absorbing characteristic in a medium/high frequency and transmit the resonant sound of a low frequency so as to lower a ceiling noise level by arranging a sound absorbing material of triangular section having a fixed ventilation resistance and a gas permeability on the four corners of a ceiling slab. SOLUTION: A sound absorbing material 5 is partially arranged on the four corners of a ceiling slab 1 made of a concrete slab and the like and the other necessary places, an internally mounted ceiling material 4 made of a gypsum board of 12 mm in thickness is arranged through hangers 2 on the part except it, and an air layer 3 is formed between the ceiling material and the ceiling slab 1. The sound absorbing material 5 is molded into triangular section out of fiber aggregate which is molded out of staple of 30 denier of under in the center of fiber diameter distribution to make average apparent density to be 0.03-0.15 g/cm , so as to increase the surface area per unit volume of the sound absorbing material 5. Hereby, used quantity of the sound absorbing material 5 is curtailed, a sound absorbing characteristic in the medium/high frequency is improved by ventilation resistance of the sound absorbing material 5, resonant sound of a low frequency is transmitted and reduced by gas permeability, and hence the ceiling noise level can be lowered.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the handling property and the weld-workability by a method wherein a resin plasticizing unit which heat-melts a thermoplastic resin is separated from a resin welding unit equipped with a head for applying which discharges a plasticized resin, and the resin plasticizing unit and the resin welding unit are connected with an electrothermal hose. SOLUTION: A resin plasticizing unit 1 which heat-melts a thermoplastic resin is separated from a resin welding unit 3 equipped with a head 2 for applying which discharges a plasticized resin, and the resin plasticizing unit 1, and the resin welding unit 3 are connected with an electrothermal hose 4. Then, a molten resin is fed to the head 2 for applying by a pump for press-feeding of the resin plasticizing unit 1. Therefore, while the resin plasticizing unit 1 which is heaviest is being placed on a floor, a worker holds the resin welding unit 3 only by hand, and a resin welding work can be performed on a wall surface and a ceiling surface. By this method, the resin welding unit can be made light-weight, and the quickness and the the certainty of a resin welding work can be improved.
