Abstract: A number of composite nozzles communicate with a supply chamber to provide a uniform droplet discharge. Each nozzle consists of a discharge section (105), inlet section (102) and energy input section (106). The base of the nozzle is formed by a carrier plate (111) that forms an electro thermal energy stage with a heat control layer. The surface of the nozzle is provided by an insulating layer, with electrodes located beneath it. A resistive layer prevents short circuit conditions. The longitudinal proportions of the nozzle section are stipulated by a given formula.
