Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet head applied with an aligning method of higher accuracy, a manufacturing method thereof, a printer mounting the ink jet head and an information processor. SOLUTION: Central position A1 of the gap between first and second substrates is measured when viewed from the face of the substrate arranged with an array of energy generating elements. A correction value C for calculating the target aligning position of a top plate is then determined from the central position A1 and the central position A2 of the gap between the first and second substrates is measured when viewed from the ink ejecting direction. The central position A2 is corrected with the correction value C to determine an alignment target value D=A2-C. Furthermore, the central position E of the alignment reference hole in the ink ejection face of the top plate is measured and the shift F=D-E of the central position E of position reference hole from the alignment target value D is determined. The top plate is moved such that the absolute value of F will be equal to or smaller than a specified value.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positioning method and a positioning device for a minute article, capable of positioning the minute article such as thin film material and so on with its position moved without damaging it, and of positioning plural minute articles simultaneously. SOLUTION: This device is formed out of a thin sheet member 5 forming a positioning surface of a minute article 2, each recessed part 4 formed by letting the upper surface of a positioning base 3 supporting the thin sheet member 5, be divided into plural pieces so as to be filled with liquid 8, each exothermic body 9 disposed at the bottom of each recessed part 4, and of the plural sets of abutting references 6y disposed over to the positioning base 3, by individually controlling the drive of each exothermic body 9, the liquid 8 enclosed in the recessed parts 4 is heated, bubbles are thereby generated, the pressure of the recessed parts 4 is increased, the thin sheet member 5 is expanded upward, and the expansion of the thin sheet member 5 thereby allows external force to be given to the minute article 2 positioned over the thin sheet member 5, the minute particle is thereby moved along the upper surface of the thin sheet member 5 so as to be hit against each abutting reference 6y, so that its position is finally determined.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the accuracy of distance between the heater on a heater board and a reference protrusion by coating a wafer-like heater board not yet cut with a resin material and forming a reference protrusion on the heater board by laser trimming the resin material. SOLUTION: Heaters 1a are arranged specifically on the upper surface of a wafer-like heater board 1 not yet cut which is then coated with a resin material 1b. The resin material 1b on the heater board 1 is then irradiated with laser light and trimmed to form a reference protrusion 1c. Subsequently, the heater board 1 is cut along a cut line S to manufacture a heater board 1 of specified size. Since the accuracy of interval between the heater 1a and the cutting face of the heater board 1 can be relaxed when the heater board 1 is cut along a cut line S, manufacturing yield of the heater board 1 can be increased.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of liquid jet recording head in which highly accurate stabilized positioning is ensured even if the channel forming face of a top plate is curved or warped in saddle shape by abutting the end face of an element board against the reference abutting part of the top plate and the temporary clamping position of the element board can be optimized at the time of positioning or tight securing with an urging means, e.g. a spring. SOLUTION: At the time of abutting the end face 7 of an element board 5 against the reference abutting part 4 provided at the end of the channel forming face of a top plate 1, the end face 7 is abutted against the reference abutting part 4 and positioned precisely while clamping the end part of the board 5 only with a temporary clamper 11 having weak clamping force and then the top plate 1 is secured tightly to the board 5 by means of a spring 8 while clamping the central part of the board 5 only with a temporary clamper 10 having strong clamping force.

SOLUTION: When element plates 1 mounting jet energy generating elements 2 are carried by means of a carrying finger 5, aligned above a base plate 3, landed on a base plate 3 and arranged sequentially thereon, the element plate 1 is observed and the reference position of the energy generating element 2 is measured by noncontact method employing an observation optical system and an image processor in order to detect positional shift of the element plate 1. The element plate 1 can be rearranged while correcting the position based on the detected shift.

SOLUTION: An element substrate 1 having lined discharge energy generating elements 1a is carried by a collet finger 14 to a position above a base plate 2 and placed directly on the upside of the base plate, and positioning in the direction of X-axis is made with the front laterals of the element substrate 1 butted against a reference plane 10a of a butting reference plate 10 while positioning in the direction of Y-axis is made with the element substrate 1 moved to a specified position in the direction of Y-axis, being placed between both sides in the direction of X-axis and pressed at its lateral face with a lateral pressing body 12, and with its position determined by a position detecting means 13. Then, the element substrates 1 in plural number are arranged successively on the surface of the base plate 2 and stuck to the base plate for fixation.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the heat accumulation to the recording liquid on a heating element to a large extent and to reduce residual air bubbles on the heating element by coating a separation wall or an element substrate with a liquid to align the separation wall with the element substrate to closely bond the same to the element substrate through a liquid. SOLUTION: A heater board 1 being an element substrate having a heating element built therein or integrally equipped therewith is fixed to a base plate 70 being a support to provide wire bonding and liquid droplets 4 of water or the like are applied to the heater board 1. Next, a separation wall 30 is placed on the heater board 1 coated with liquid droplets 4 to be aligned, bonded and temporarily fixed. If the separation wall 30 is firmly pressed to the heater board 1 through the liquid droplets 4, the separation wall 30 is closely bonded to the heater board 1 to be strongly held to the heater board. Further, the separation wall 30 can be sufficiently held to the heater board 1 by one of liquid droplets 4.
