By this manner, for example in automatic photographing, desirable zoom magnification change is conducted at a desirable timing to carry out the automatic photographing in the case where a wide-angled wide photographing range is brought initially in the automatic photographing, a central subject is caught as a large figure by gradual zooming-up, then zooming-down is conducted again to be returned to the wide photographing range to finish the photographing.
