    Abstract: An improved cleaning composition is provided for shower and tub surfaces whi ch is of the "shower rinsing" type, requiring no scrubbing, wiping, or immediate rinsing. The composition comprises: (a) a glycoside surfactant, the total amount of said surfactant being present in a cleaning effective amount; (b) a chelating agent, said chelatin g agent present in an amount effective to enhance bathroom soil removal in said composition; and (c) the remainder, water. A solvent such as isopropyl alcohol may also be added. The employment of a glycoside surfactant, especially one having an HLB value of greater than 1 3, remarkably improves the performance of such a shower rinsing composition both with respect to surface appearance streaking and filming and also bathroom soil and soap scum removing ability.

    Abstract: Una composición de limpieza para las superficies de la duchao la tina de baño del tipo que no requiere fregar, limpiar frotando o del enjuague inmediato que comprende: (a) un surfactante de glicósidos con opcionalmente otro surfactante no iónico, aniónico, catiónico o anfotérico, o mezclas de los mismos, siendo la cantidad total de dichos surfactantes 0,001-15% en peso; (b) 0,01-10% en peso de un agente quelante; y (c) al menos 60% en peso de agua, siendo dicha composición limpiadora de una sola fase y estando caracterizada por la capacidad de limpiar dichas superficies de duchas y tinas de baño sin formación de vetas o película cuando no es fregada, limpiada o inmediatamente enjuagada.Un método para limpiar superficies de duchas y tinas de baño, que comprende los pasos de: humedecer superficies de una ducha; aplicar a las superficies de la ducha húmedas después de tomar la ducha una composición limpiadora que comprende (a) un surfactante de glicósidos con opcionalmente, otro surfactante no iónico, aniónico o anfóterico, o mezclas de los mismos, siendo la cantidad total de dichos surfactantes 0,001-15% en peso; (b) 0,01-10% en peso de un agente quelante; y (c) al menos el 60% en peso de agua, mediante lo cual las superficies de la ducha son limpiadas sin la necesidad de fregar, limpiar frotando o enjuagar inmediatamente, y están libres de formación de vetas y película.

    Abstract: A dry cleaning system particularly suited for employing supercritical CO2 as the cleaning fluid consisting of a sealable cleaning vessel containing a rotatable drum adapted for holding soiled substrate, a cleaning fluid storage vessel, and a gas vaporizer vessel for recycling used cleaning fluid is provided. The drum is magnetically coupled to a motor so that it can be rotated during the cleaning process. The system is adapted for automation which permits increased energy efficiency as the heating and cooling effect associated with CO2 gas condensation and expansion can be channeled to heat and cool various parts of the system.
