Abstract:
An inflatable penile prosthetic system includes a pump adapted for attachment to a reservoir; a penile prosthetic assembly including an inflatable bladder having a distal end sized for placement within a glans penis, a base connected to the inflatable bladder, with base including an interior channel extending an entire length of the base from a hole formed in a proximal end of the base to the inflatable bladder, and a tubing port coupled to an exterior surface of the base, with the tubing port adapted for attachment to the pump, a plug sized for insertion into the hole; and a push rod.

An inflatable penile prosthetic system (20) includes a pump (22) adapted for attachment to a reservoir (24); a penile prosthetic assembly (26) including an inflatable bladder (50) having a distal end sized for placement within a glans penis, a base (52) connected to the inflatable bladder, with the base including an interior channel extending an entire length of the base from a hole formed in a proximal end of the base to the inflatable bladder, and a tubing port (54) coupled to an exterior surface of the base, with the tubing port adapted for attachment to the pump, a plug (56) sized for insertion into the hole; and a push rod (28).
Abstract:
A tissue anchor has a body, protrusions from the body, and a tissue engaging fin. The body is oriented on a longitudinal axis and has a leading tip, a leading end portion extending from the leading tip, a trailing end portion connected to the leading end portion, with the trailing end portion terminating in a trailing tip that is located opposite of the leading tip. A first anchor width measured between the protrusions is greater than a second anchor width measured at the trailing end portion of the body. The tissue engaging fin is integrated with the leading end portion of the body and oriented in a direction perpendicular to the radial direction of the first and second protrusions. The tissue engaging fin has a fin width and is provided with an eyelet formed through the fin width. A gripping tab is removably attached to the tissue engaging fin.
Abstract:
A surgical tool adapted for placement of a cuff of an artificial urinary sphincter around a portion of a urethra includes a head attached to a handle. The head has a recess formed in a first end surface of the head and two pads. The recess is sized to receive an inferior portion of the urethra. A first pad is located on a first side of the recess, and a second pad is located on a second side of the recess and spaced a gap distance away from the first pad. A piercing mechanism is located in and movable out of one of the first pad or the second pad. The piercing mechanism is movable across the gap distance between the first pad and the second pad to form a channel in tissue superior to the urethra.
