Abstract: A label for a cable (e.g., a communications cable) is configured both to indicate an identification of the cable and to provide a link to test data pertaining to the cable to which the label is attached. For example, the label may include a QR code that links to the test data. The QR code may be marked on a flag extending outwardly from a circumferentially wrapped portion of the label. The flag may be smaller (e.g., extend along less of the cable) than the circumferentially wrapped portion.

Abstract: A multi-fiber cable assembly includes a pigtail segments spliced to a trunk segment using multiple mass fusion splices. The splices are disposed within an encapsulation at a common axial location. A flexible conduit extends from one end of the encapsulation to protect bare fibers of the trunk segment. A protective sheath extends from the opposite end of the encapsulation to protect the pigtail segments. The conduit and sheath are axially fixed to the encapsulation.
