Abstract:
A gravity dispensing unit for filling containers with powdered material, wherein a vessel for powdered material presents, underneath, at least one dispenser with a central supply conduit in turn presenting a shutter and made of porous material; the supply conduit extending in fluidtight manner through an annular chamber for receiving pressurized fluid, and through an annular intake manifold surrounding the annular chamber and presenting an annular, downward-facing inlet.
Abstract:
Apparatus for applying closures to containers, comprising a first rotating conveyor adapted to move containers to be closed to a second rotating conveyor, and a third rotating conveyor adapted to remove the closed containers from the second conveyor. The second conveyor comprises a rotating supporting element adapted to receive and transfer containers in succession, and grip elements which overlie the supporting element and are adapted to receive in succession closures which are downwardly provided with a tube for extracting the liquid contained in the containers and to screw the closures on the containers after the tubes have entered the containers. The apparatus furthermore comprises grip elements which are adapted to grip the upper portion of the tubes before they are inserted in the containers and to slide toward the lower end of the tubes so as to straighten the tubes and allow them to correctly enter the containers.
Abstract:
A method and unit for forming, on a cartoning machine, a group having at least one row defined by a given number of products, whereby an orderly succession of products, traveling at a substantially constant first speed, is fed to conveyor traveling at a substantially constant second speed greater than the first speed; a leading product in the succession is braked on the conveyor until a portion of the succession corresponding to the row being formed moves onto the conveyor; and the leading product in the row is then released gradually to accelerate the row up to the second speed and detach the row from the rest of the succession.
Abstract:
A method and machine for packing a product by means of a flat blank having a central portion supporting the product and in turn having first lateral wings, and two opposite lateral portions, each having second lateral wings; the method and machine provide for folding the first lateral wings using at least one folding body, which has a first and a second folding edge differently inclined with respect to each other, and is rotated about an axis of rotation so that the first folding edge folds a respective first lateral wing to a given angle of less than 90°, and the second folding edge folds corresponding second lateral wings to an angle of 90°; the folding body is then rotated further about the axis of rotation so that the first folding edge completes the folding of the first lateral wing to 90°.
Abstract:
Containers are directed onto a carousel rotatable as one about a vertical axis with a tank affording a fluid-tight enclosure and equipped with filler valves, each positionable over the mouth of a relative container; the tank is filled with a liquid substance until a given head has been established, whereupon the enclosure is negatively or positively pressurized, according to the type of liquid substance being handled, in such a way that the jet formed at the outlet of the filler valves will be dispensed at a selected discharge pressure different to the pressure deriving solely from the head of the liquid substance in the tank. The tank is depressurized when filled with foamable liquid substances, and pressurized when filled with viscous substances.
Abstract:
The dosage dispensing device associable with filling machines is provided with at least one lower nozzle which includes a main body, which has a vertical axis, which is hollow and which has an internal diameter which reduces gradually at least proximate to its lower end down to a discharge outlet, and by a stem, which is arranged so as to be coaxially movable inside the main body. The stem defines, at its lower end, a shutter for the discharge outlet, and is provided with longitudinal fins for guiding the stem inside the main body; the shutter is constituted by a solid of revolution which is coaxial to the stem and which has a cross-section which decreases from a median region thereof down to a lower pointed end thereof, and the inner surface of the main body which is proximate to the discharge outlet has a shape which can be sealingly coupled to a lower portion of the shutter.
Abstract:
The apparatus for conveying containers in a filling machine comprises a rotary conveyor which has a plurality of mutually angularly equidistant sucker holder elements, each of which is adapted to accommodate a related container. Each sucker holder element is mounted so as to be radially slidable on the rotary conveyor, and adjustment elements are provided for modifying, in a radial direction with respect to the rotary conveyor, the position of the holder elements so as to adapt the apparatus for handling containers of various sizes without requiring the replacement of mechanical parts.
Abstract:
A variable cam comprises a cylindrical skirt with a track followed by a roller movable along a guide comprised within a rotating structure, which is coaxial to the skirt. The track is interrupted at a portion in the region of maximum elevation of the roller. The cam comprises two arc-like elements proximate to the track portions proximate, on opposite sides, to the interruption. Each arc-like element is guided along a path in which, in each position a portion of a first portion of a side of the element is adjacent to the corresponding portion proximate lo the interruption. A second portion of the side, joined with the first portion, is contained within a plane perpendicular to the skin axis. The presence is determined of a track portion within a plane perpendicular to the skirt axis between the ends of the arc-like elements and is adjacent, in every position occupied by the arc-like elements, to a portion of the second portion.
Abstract:
A capping head (11) comprising a support (12) adapted to be associated with means arranged within a capper comprising at least two identical working units (13, 14), which are associated with the support (12) and are motorized in the same direction, each working unit (13, 14) comprising a shaft (17) provided with motor drive means, which is connected, with the interposition of a torque-limited coupling, to a transverse arm (21, 28) adapted to support a rotating roller (24, 29), both rollers (24, 29) are designed to come into contact with a cap (15) to be screwed onto a container.
Abstract:
A method and machine for packing a group of products, whereby the group of products is fed along a first packing path and eased onto a central portion of a blank fed underneath the group, and in the time with the group, along a second path meeting up with the first path; the blank is drawn along said supply path; and at least one further portion of the blank is subsequently folded along a peripheral bend line of the central portion as the group is pressed with a given pressure against the central portion of the blank.
