Abstract:
A puck is provided for releasably gripping a closure element to be moved along a predetermined path and mated to a container. The puck includes a main body and a gripper assembly associated with the main body for releasably gripping the closure element. The gripper assembly comprises first and second opposing arms connected to the main body. The first arm has two first gripper members mounted thereto and the second arm has two second gripper members mounted thereto. The first and second arms are movable between a retracted position and a gripping position. The first gripper members are rotatable for effecting rotation of the closure element to permit the closure element to be mated to the container. The gripper assembly further includes first and second spring-biased support members connected to the first and second arms for movement between first and second positions. The first and second support members define a shelf when positioned in the first position for supporting the closure element when the closure element comprises a cap and is movable to the second position by the closure element when the closure element comprises a sprayer head.
Abstract:
A mounting head (T) for mounting a pump or a valve on a neck (22) of a reservoir (2) so as to constitute a fluid dispenser, the mounting head (T) comprising a mounting member (3) for imparting an axial mounting movement from an axial arrangement placed on the neck (22), the mounting member (3) incorporating axial centering means (35, 36, 4) for bringing the dispenser member (1) into an axial arrangement on the neck (22) of the reservoir (2) if it has been placed in an offset manner on the neck (22);the mounting head (3) being characterized in that it comprises a plurality of mounting tabs (31) that are movable axially so as to bring the dispenser member (1) from the axial arrangement towards the final position, and that are movable radially inwards so as to return the dispenser member (1) into an axial arrangement, the mounting head (T) further comprising an outer clamping collar (4) for simultaneously moving the mounting tabs (31) radially inwards from a spaced-apart rest position.
Abstract:
A capping head comprising a support adapted to be associated with means arranged within a capper comprising at least two identical working units, which are associated with the support and are motorized in the same direction, each working unit comprising a shaft provided with motor drive means, which is connected, with the interposition of a torque-limited coupling, to a transverse arm adapted to support a rotating roller, both rollers are designed to come into contact with a cap to be screwed onto a container.
Abstract:
A torque head assembly and method of capping effective to cap a variety of trigger spray cap bases or common caps to a spray bottle or container includes a drive roller mounted on a drive gear. The drive gear is in meshed gear communication with a plurality of train gears enclosed within a generally C-shaped driver housing wherein the a distal train gear engages a driven gear upon which a driven roller is mounted. An actuator allows the driver housing of torque head assembly to approach a variety of trigger spray cap bases or common caps within a plane generally horizontal thereto and at least partially co-planar therewith so as to capture the same between the dive roller and the driven roller and to thread mount the same onto the spray bottle or container.
