    Abstract: Spherical, polymeric organosiloxane ammonium compounds are disclosed with a silica-like skeleton consisting of: (I) units in which R1 and R2 stand for a group (II) in which R5 is alkylene the oxygen atoms are saturated by silicon atoms of other groups (II) with the optional inclusion of cross-linking agents, R3 has the meaning of R1 and R2 or stands for hydrogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl or benzyl, R4 is hydrogen or alkyl, cycloalkyl, benzyl, allyl, propargyl, chloroethyl, hydroxyethyl or chloropropyl, X stands for a monovalent to trivalent anion of a protonic acid which forms stable salts with amine bases and x can be a number from 1 to 3.

    Abstract: New organosilanes contg. benzoylthiourea gps. are of formula (I): R1=phenyl or nitrophenyl; R2=a trialkoxysilyl-alkyl, -cycloalkyl, -cycloalkyl-alkyl, -alkyl-cycloalkyl-alkyl, -phenyl-alkyl or -alkyl-phenyl-alkyl gp. of the formula: R4-Si(OR)3 R4=1-10C alkylene, 5-8C cycloalkylene or a gp. of the formulae (i) or (ii), n=1-6; R=linear or branched 1-3C alkyl; R3=as R2 or H. (I) are prepd. by reacting an organosilane-amine (II) with an isothiocyanate (III) of the formulae (II) or (III) below at or above room temp. up to 100 deg.C, pref. at -30 deg.C to +50 deg.C, and normal or a higher pressure, corresp. to the sum of the partial pressures at the temp. concerned, until reaction of the isothiocyanate function in (III) is complete. A linear or branched 1-3C alcohol, acetone or MEK is used as solvent in the reaction.
