Abstract:
Fully diluted hard surface cleaners are disclosed which are particularly effective on cleaning soap scum. The cleaners contain at least 0.45 eq/kg of a dissolved anion which reacts with calcium ion to form an insoluble salt. The cleaners also contain a particular amine oxide, or a different surfactant in conjunction with a solvent. Preferred embodiments include a bleach which provides for a cleaner which is effective on soap scum and mold and mildew.
Abstract:
A puck is provided for releasably gripping a closure element (50) to be moved along a predetermined path and mated to a container. The puck includes a main body (20) and a gripper assembly (30) associated with the main body (20) for releasably gripping the closure element. The gripper assembly comprises first and second opposing arms (32, 34) connected to the main body. The first arm has two first gripper members (32c) mounted thereto and the second arm has two second gripper members (34c) mounted thereto. The first and second arms are movable between a retracted position and a gripper position. The first gripper members are rotatable independent of the arms for effecting rotation of the closure element to permit the closure element to be mated to the container. The gripper assembly further includes first and second spring-biased support members (38a, 38b) connected to the first and second arms for movement between first and second positions. The first and second support members define a shelf when positioned in the first position for supporting the closure element when the closure element comprises a cap and is movable to the second position by the closure element when the closure element comprises a sprayer head.
Abstract:
A resealable flexible thermoplastic bag including a front wall and a back wall, said walls being joined along the major portions of their opposite longitudinal edges and bottom; an open mouth adjacent to the top edge of said bag including an adhesive strip (30) affixed to a first inner surface of one of a front wall or rear wall of a bag at a preselected distance from the opening of the bag; and a first roughened surface strip (40) affixed to a second inner surface of one of a front wall or rear wall of a bag at a preselected distance from the opening of the bag; said roughened surface of said bag being pressable against and into said adhesive strip on said first inner surface, whereby a seal is formed by contacting said adhesive strip with said roughened surface of said second inner surface.
Abstract:
A flexible container, and a process and apparatus for making the container having first and second sidewalls (32, 33), side seams (35), a bottom edge (34), a top and an opening (31) adjacent the top including the first and second side walls made from the same film web stock material, said web stock having at least a first visual pattern impressed thereon such that upon forming said first and second side walls from said web stock, said first and second side walls are adjacent to each other and at least a second visual pattern (110) on the container different from the first visual pattern is perceived by an observer of the container.
Abstract:
A mechanism in a conventional trigger sprayer to allow the sprayer to be used in an inverted position without the dispenser contents leaking through a sprayer vent orifice (5). The mechanism comprises a bypass chamber (14) in communication with the chamber of the dip tube (9). The bypass chamber (14) then creates an auxiliary fluid path to the dip tube (9) fluid path when the dispenser is inverted. When the dispenser is inverted, the fluid remaining in the dip tube (9) acts as a fluid lock thereby preventing internal dispenser air from escaping out from the dip tube into the trigger spayer.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a freezer bag comprising a multibag (90) having at least an inner liner bag (91) and an outer support bag (92), the inner liner bag having a first sidewall (94) and a second sidewall (94') attached together along respective lateral edges forming edge seals, each sidewall having a top edge (95, 95'), and the liner bag having a folded edge defining the bottom of the liner bag, the outer support bag having two sidewalls (96, 96') attached together along respective lateral edges forming edge seals, each sidewall having top edges defining the opening to the multibag, and the support bag having a folded edge defining the bottom of the multibag, the top edges of the liner bag being attached to an inner surface of each respective sidewall of the support bag wherein the liner is thermoplastic and has a thickness of less than 2.0 mil (50.8 micron).
Abstract:
A carrier puck is provided for receiving and supporting an article to be moved along a predetermined path. The carrier puck comprises a main body having an inner cavity for receiving the article. The puck also includes at least one gripper element extending from an inner side wall of the main body into the first cavity for engaging with a protruding ridge on the article to releasably hold and stabilize the article in the puck. The carrier puck may also include a second cavity having a size which differs from the size of the first cavity.
Abstract:
A process and apparatus for providing microperforations (81) in a zippered film useful for manufacturing reclosable zippered produce bags including a) providing a web (80) of thermoplastic film with zipper profile members on at least one side of the web, the zipper profile members spaced apart on the web forming a central web area between the profiles; b) feeding the web between the nip of a cylinder (71) having a plurality of heated pins (72) and a pressure roller (73) such that a plurality of microholes (18) are formed in the central web area between the zipper profile members; and c) maintaining the web in feeding alignment between the pin cylinder and the pressure roller such that uniform sized microholes are perforated in the web area between the profile members.
Abstract:
