Abstract: The invention relates to a system of at least two physical state-blocks (2), wherein each state-block comprises an identification stored in a state-block memory (18), a processing unit (16), one communication port (22) for communicating identification and state-information to and from said state-block. The state-block also comprises a state port (20) for applying and/or for indicating state changes. The identification for all state-blocks in said system belongs to the same identification family and that the identifications of the other state-blocks in the family are stored in the state-block memory of each state-block. A state change applied at the state port of one state-block in the system is communicated via said communication port to all other state-blocks in the family and is indicated at the state port of said other state-blocks.

Abstract: The present invention relates to advanced telephone answering equipment, also called a call centre, and to a particular type of message intended to be received by the call centre. The message includes information intended for a receiving person and a machine code intended for the call centre. The message is edited by a sending person, such as to divide the information and the machine code in different blocks. The receiver can cause the call centre to present the information in the message in a desired manner, i.e. in the same way as a caller can be presented with information from a call centre at the present time. The structure in which the message can be presented has, however, been made possible by the sender in the editing or formulating process. The machine code is, for instance, transferred as a DTMF-code.

Abstract: The invention relates to the organization of electronic messages (101) coming in to a user who can access his/her messages via at least two different types of access environments (130-165). A first storage area (100) receives the electronic messages (101), which each has an original data format. The electronic messages (101) are then stored according to a first structure (102). An agent (110) processes the electronic messages (101) into at least one set of processed electronic messages (113a-113c) having data formats, which are at least as adapted to an alternative access environment as the data formats of the corresponding original electronic messages. The processed electronic messages (113a-113c) are then stored according to at least one second structure (121a-121c) that is a mapping of the first structure (102). The user may either access an original electronic message (101) in the first structure (102) or one of the processed electronic messages (113a-113c) in the at least one second structure (121a-121c). The choice of message version is based on the type of access environment (130-165) that the user currently has at his/her disposal.
